SPS Governance Proposal - Adjust All Rentals to Minimum Pricing

Community Proposal #2

The purpose of this proposal is to ensure that all cards available for rental are meeting the minimum 0.1 DEC price that is required for all new rentals. Currently there are ongoing rentals that are below the minimum price threshold that have never been adjusted after the minimum rental price point was established.

If this proposal passes, the Splinterlands team will adjust all rental prices below the minimum rental price limit to meet the 0.1 DEC minimum price requirement for new rentals. Ongoing rentals will not be able to automatically renew at the rate below the minimum rental price threshold.

I have a new proposal. Fire clayboyn. Who paid the DEC to set up these proposals. 100'000 DEC was the price to make a proposal. clayboyn can make proposals for free??????? 5 times NO from my side.

Keep on doing this and I will spend the 100'000 DEC for a proposal to get you fired. You should replay to this comment and not ignore it, clayboyn.

Wow, the power trip is real. How can anyone take any of your comments seriously, when you're acting like this? You are not the owner of the DAO

You are right. I own about 1'358'000 SPS, that is 0.11% of the company. I am a big shareholder so to say. That will me not stop though to make a proposal to reduce the employee wage of clayboyn by 25%, when I have the time. And I will pay the 100'000 DEC.

I don't have a power trip. The emotion I was feeling yesterday was more incredible anger. I am still angry today so less so. Now, that I am more clear I realize what I have to do.

I am curious. How much SPS do you own?

Who do you think you are, trying to convince someone from your opinion by threaten someone beeing fired. And how entitled you feel, LOL, hilarious! You are the embodiment of a KAREN.

You must be fun... not only at parties, but in real life in general. 🤦‍♂

Yes that's right, I am fun in real life, because I am not boring.

But I didn't feel entitled yesterday but incredible angry. I am the entitlement of the big shareholder who yells at the CEO because of his arrogance. Only thing is that CLAYBOYN is not the CEO but just a (normal?) employee who think's he is the CEO.

By the way, do you own any SPS, or am I just talking to a random stranger with no profile picture?

I prefer if you spend that much DEC on proposals you'd like to be implemented instead of blatantly targeting someone.

I don't target someone, but the right now only employee of the SPS DAO. As big SPS Holder (about 1'300'000), I think that is my right to do so and yes I will keep an eye on CLAYBOYN after what happened yesterday.

Do you own SPS?

What happened yesterday exactly? I've not been keeping up with the Spl drama lately.

I had a rampage and got brutally angry.

OBJECTION!

Do you have any concrete evidence that clayboyn made the proposals without any DEC burnt?

CLAYBOYN is an SPS DAO employee. The first and right now the only one. I have no proof. But I strongly suspect, seeing at the number of proposals, that he paid nothing.

See throwing misinformation around based on your assumptions/lack of info; my other response has a link to end your ignorant "suspicions"; people like you shouldn't vote anywhere being too lazy to research the facts before forming an assumption/opinion. Hope the other SPS whales are much more informed on their decisions than you.

Guess you didn't see the passed proposal for the DAO to pay for the burning of DEC for proposals?! Maybe make sure you're up to speed before exploding your inner toxicity on others w/o being constructive for the community. Would love for you to burn DEC to make a proposal but would never vote yes for an emotional outburst proposal targeting @clayboyn as if he's not making proposals on behalf of the community. Throw up in my mouth a little reading the audacity/lack of respect from some humans approaching others in such a manner.

I am not toxic on other, but only CLAYBOYN in special. Because I am partly his Boss, because he is a SPS DAO employee.

About what community are you talking?

I am curious how much SPS you own. I own more than 1'000'000 SPS. Maybe you can post your SPS amount. Then we can make peace.

If you pay the 100000 DEC you can make a proposal to fire him. Give the guy a chance though! He's only just started the job and is doing what is expected of him pretty well so far.

Just because you may own more SPS than others doesn't give you the right to be a toxic piece of shit to people. We're all technically "his boss" but you don't see everyone else speaking horribly to another human being just for that reason alone; speak to others the way you'd like to be treated! Talking about the community that discusses proposals before they're officially created; go be involved rather than complaining once created. Also go do your own research and pay attention to previous proposals before you assume they won't be paid for or start spreading mis-information with your lack-there-of. It was clearly stated in this passed proposal how payment works now for proposals https://peakd.com/@clayboyn/sps-governance-proposal-subsidize-dao-project-manager-proposals

308K SPS btw, not sure why that matters as my stake has nothing to do with your toxic immature behavior... other than your simplistic ego that's gonna land on "I have more, I win"? Which only solidifies your shallow mind in its current state.

Who TF are you (rep 33) and a few blog posts to be talking this way.

Earn your place in the hive and Splinterlands community before attacking people who have shown their commitment.

The Splinterlands community will vote on these proposals and decide whether they are any good.

10 times yes from my side - its community, not a single behavior to put up proposals.

Makes sense to me to adjust the "grandfathered" rates below 0.1 to the minimum threshold.

Absense of damage to DAO or players game experience indicates that this is a non issue. ∴ sub 0.1 DEC rentals should be allowed to prevail since 0 harm has been mentioned. Also your proposal is surplus to requirements because it was never enforced.

I think the minimum should be .25dec.
1/10000th of a penny just isn't enough, imo.

I always wanted a 1 DEC minimum, but yea the .1 DEC minimum is what was implemented previously.

Why do we need to vote on somehting that just sounds like a result of poor coding? Just fix the problem that should have been fixed right away.

It was discussed with the team and they said they could/would do this if we ask them to. This is us asking them to. Should it have to be a proposal? Arguably not, but it is what it is. Better to address it than just ignore it I suppose.

Sounds like you got the DAO suckered for 100k DEC. "Why do a thing for free when they'll pay us 100k DEC to do like a line of code?"

0

Or perhaps... the company doesn't want to force their autonomy on decisions like this as it requires adjusting something that players already set in motion. The DAO voting makes this a consensus issue and not a "the company just changed my rental prices without asking me" issue. There's no need to assume malice where none is intended.

Hanlon's razor: I assume stupidity rather than malice.

I just don't know why this even needs to be voted on? The rule for 0.1 DEC rental was done ages ago. Why did this slip through the cracks in the first place? Why is the DAO subsidizing poor coding by the devs?

I'm in favor of this change. I think making all aspects of this game equal opportunity is important and if there is no way for a new player to come in, buy cards, and then choose to undercut the existing market that isn't equal.

That said, this shouldn't have been a proposal. Just update the code and roll it out.

If we have to pay 100k DEC for every little change that needs to happen we are quickly going to rug the DAO.

Does the outstanding rentals even equal 100,000 DEC 😅

What I don´t understand why there is a minimum. why I can not rent my card for a lower price than other to rent it out faster?

come on guys! Anglo-Saxons cradle of free trade, why so much restriction?
