SPS Governance Proposal - Gladius Stones for Merits
Community Proposal #13
The purpose of this proposal is to allow for more versatile options for purchasing Blood Stones and Power Stones (these stones are equivalent to ‘potions’ for use with Gladius cases). The ability to purchase these items by burning DEC or DEC-B was a welcome change, but it was done at the expense of removing the ability to earn/purchase them with MERITS.
There has been an overwhelming amount of support in the community for a proposal to amend this decision and restore the use of MERITS to purchase Gladius stones.
If this proposal passes, Blood Stones (increasing Legendary chances) and Power Stones (increasing Gold Foil chances) will be available for purchase using the player’s choice of DEC, DEC-B, or MERTIS, all of which will be valued equally.
It is @cryptomancer’s recommendation that we re-price the DEC cost of the stones at a 1:1 ratio with MERITS at the same time we bring back the ability to purchase stones using MERITS.
The price of Blood Stones will be priced at 60 tokens each and Power Stones will be priced at 80 tokens each as they were previously. The Guild Lodge discounts will continue to be applied at the current rate with no changes. All tokens used to purchase stones will be burned.

Looks great! Love to see cheaper stones available because I stopped buying them at their current prices. Allowing people to buy the stones with merits is a nice compromise as well, since that was always the intention for merits to pay for gladiator/brawl assets. Thanks for bringing this proposal to a vote!
I'd keep buying with DEC, personally; but options are good.

I vote no, why because it discourages people from burning DEC.
Actually, we are specifically repricing the DEC cost of stones with this proposal in order to BURN MORE DEC. Current DEC cost is way to high and prevents most players from participating at all. Reducing the DEC cost to equal that of merits should facilitate MORE DEC being burned for stones, not less.
why not just reduce the current DEC cost? Why conflate the 2?
just a few weeks ago i went to look at whether or not i would buy some stones for DEC, and decided it wasn't worth the cost.
I have 0 interest in spending merits for stones, but this proposal will at least bring the price of stones in DEC low enough that i'll consider it. so, at least from one person's perspective, it is encouraging DEC burning.
buying stones with potions is what would be awesome...
That would be nice, or at least give us a potion burning event or something else to use potions on.
it is obvious that potions mean different things to different levels. At silver level, you dont earn enough potions just to cover your reward cards. I'm at gold level, and I stopped buying packs becuase I ran out of potions after I opened my Rebellion packs (getting me less than halfway to Gold level cards)

This is a BIG yes from me. When we changed to this a while ago I remember being a little shocked that it removed merits and thought we were voting for BOTH options to be there. Will be a welcomed change to have this finally restored.
