Accumulating and Staking SPS for good
Splintershards commonly known as (SPS) is the official governance token for Splinterlands. Now this SPS has a big role to play in the coming days and the people who have a good amount of SPS stake can have a say in the proceedings of the game. Just like with Hive Power you can vote witnesses and thus in a way you are trying to lay the course of the Hive, in a similar way SPS tokens will work. So in short having, SPS is good for an individual to shape the future of your favourite game.
As of now, 256 days of airdrop has been finished and only 109 days remaining and once the airdrop period is over the price movement will start and thus you can get to know the true value of the SPS token.
Splinterlands team have come up with all the plans for SPS token in 2022
- SPS Validator Nodes & Governance Voting
- $4M+ non-SPS funds in treasury to be owned & controlled by staked SPS token holders
- ~$12M of Riftwatchers pack sales purchasable exclusively with SPS, all going to the SPS foundation treasury
- Land expansion heavy reliance on SPS token staking
- Private sale & airdrop distributions ending leading to over 53M fewer SPS tokens distributed each month
- New reward pools to incentivize gameplay + SPS delegation
As you can see clearly from the above points that SPS has a major role to play in every aspect of the game, from governance to Riftwatchers to land and whatnot. Through this, we are certain that the SPS has a major role to play in the coming days to come.

Along with the above things, the SPS token has been tradable in one of the exchanges called Crypto.com, though the announcement did not create much the change in the price but still very good news for all the Splinterlands gamers that are now slowly and steadily we are expanding our reach to another crypto enthusiast to come and play this game.
The price seems to stabilize at around $0.1 and I guess it will remain like this for another month or so and when we will be very near to the end of the airdrop there will be a price rise. I am certain about the price increasing to around $0.5 at least in the coming months after the airdrop is over.
I have around 1600+ SPS accumulated and will try to buy some from the market to have a good amount a the end of the airdrop period as well as staking which gives me a good 26% APR. So, even if people invest in SPS for now and in the coming days they can e surely in profit with SPS staking rewards as well as the price increase.

B20. SS100. I don't play the game, but I'm thinking about buying SPS coins, but I don't understand one thing, how do you place a bet if there is no such function. Do you mean just holding coins in a wallet?
SPS coins can be staked in Splinterlands to get 25%+ APR, and that is in place. The new things will be coming in future and because of that people are buying SPS for good.

I personally feel like you can't go wrong grabbing up as much extra SPS as possible right now at these prices. I believe in 6 months and into the start of next year we will see at least a 100% bump in price that is steady.

Nice strategy dear... I have been accumulating SPS all these time and also went ahead providing liquidity for PKM/SPS pool.. maybe at one point in time would need to exit the pool if SPS starts to show its real value. cheers
