Getting SPS from Ranked Battles

In the last Townhall, we have heard from the Splinterlands team that from now onwards we will be getting the rewards in SPS instead of DEC and I started receiving those rewards yesterday. The same thing can be checked on the SPS page right bottom where you can see the SPS earned from the Ranked battles. We have to claim those to get those in our wallets. In future, the battle rewards will also depend on how much SPS you have staked within the game; thus, people having more SPS staked will get more SPS as the reward.

What will happen to DEC since we have started getting the SPS from the ranked battle? Eventually, the DEC will become a secondary token and the SPS will take over all the game-related assets in SPS. But with that, the SPS will also be pegged to some value and the value of it increasing to the previous ATH will eventually take time. But again I like the idea of having one game token and all the transactions will be done using that token.

Just like ranked battles, in brawls, you will start getting the SPS rewards instead of DEC rewards. So it's good for brawlers to get more SPS now. My target was to have the 5K SPS staked by the month end and I guess since we start getting SPS now with the ranked battle I can able to have 5K SPS staked. I have yet to look at the pools, and I feel for me staking the SPS is a better option than being on any of the SPS-related pools.

So its a welcome change and hope we will get more SPS when we will be claiming the rewards.
