Warner Bros is Extending its Collaboration in Crypto World

Three weeks ago Splinterlands announced that they get partnered with Warner Music Group, to create some unique play-2-earn blockchain game. The game which will be developed will give rewards that can include NFTs as well as other things.

This is great for the Splinterlands players as well as the players who wanted to get into the Play2Earn (by seeing the big names, they will definitely enter now). We actually do not know the real progress of the game yet, but the news came recently that the same Warner Brothers announced that they are entering the NFT world with collaboration with Cartamundi. They will be creating NFT trading cards and thus users and fans can collect these cards and own them.

Now partnership with Splinterlands and Cartamundi is two different things and I am not sure how all the three will be combined but looks like at some point in time the NFT cards will be used in the play2earn games. But it is too early to comment yet.

The cards will be issued using the Ethereum-based layer two (L2) protocol Immutable X. his can also be seen as having some unique cards which can be traded amount fans. I remember, I used to have so many WWE cards and I used to trade some with my friends and I guess they might come up with a similar concept and thus you can own your favourite character cards. The cards will be mainly featured DC-based characters like "The Batman" and others.

The news is great for Splinterlands too because once the NFT craze is high among the users, it will definitely give that push to the new game that Splinterlands and Warner Bros are coming up with. Because it looks like the game will be based on the DC characters and that can include these NFT characters, but as I said it is too early to comment. But again as a Splinterlands game user I am excited to see that game evolve and come to life.
