Hello Friends,

A Happy Sunday to all, I am sure you are enjoying the holiday!!!

It's been a busy week for me with lots of manual battles in Splinterlands for the modern decks I own and yes, it's a good thing as we do get better SPS rewards because of more players switched to Wild play in order to continue to use the bots.

I am back with this blog for BATTLE MAGE CHALLENGE with this week's theme being the battle with Keep Your Distance rule set to be among the battle.

Well, whenever I get this rule set, most of the time, I use Water splinter with Kelya Frendull as summoner with mostly magic monsters and I did the same with this battle too.

Keep The Distance rule set allows only ranged and magic monsters only to be used in the battle with melee monsters kept away.

It's good with a change in the way we use monsters to check the strength of our magic and ranged attack monsters and also to check what the strategies other players use and we may even see many of those using the ranged attack monsters more.

Battle and Lineup:

It's always better to have more MANA cap in order to use the most attacking and speedy monsters and this battle had a MANA cap of 59 to accommodate most of the high profile magic monsters I have.

Besides the Keep The Instance, there was other rule set of silenced summoners rule set in this battle.

So, I decided to use Kelya FrendulL as the summoner as usual and monsters as below to be more competitive in this battle.

Lineup:

1. Wave Brood:

It's always better to use a Taunt ability monsters in such no melee battles to keep Second line monsters active as much as possible and Wave Brood did a great job with regards to that.

2. Djinn Oshannus:

In case the Wave Brood gets removed early, the plan was to have a good back up front monster and Djinn Oshannus did well to and infact, it is always a good option to be a front monster as it can evade most of the attacks because of void and phase abilities and the forcefield ability means, it can get a single attack from monsters with 5 or more attack.

3. Runemancer Kye:

A monster with Life Leech ability will be always a great option in any rue set battle and Runemancer Kyle was awesome as it kept increasing it's health with each time it attacked.

4. Nerissa Tridawn:

A great attack monster like Nerissa Tridawn with 5 (4 in this battle with a silence from opponent's monster) good enough to take a monster with the help of attack from other monsters too in each round.

5. Phantom Of The Abyss:

Another great magic attack monster wit good speed and it's dodge can be very useful and it will be un-attackable most of the time by melee and ranged attack monsters.

6. River Hellondale:

Lastly, used this resurrect ability monster to give an extra life for Wave Brood and not to forget it's useful 3 magic attack as well!!!!

Battle:

With this good lineup, I was confident to win the battle inspite of opponent using a silence ability monster in his lineup and as I share the screenshots below, the battle was fiercely fought with me winning it in the end comfortably.

So, that was a good One with opponent's monsters equally attacking and Doctor Blight is always a danger in such battles, but the usage of 2 void monsters in Wave Brood and Djinn Oshannus made it easy for me to get hit with lesser attack and other monsters were great in taking attack to the opponent's monsters and it was a great win for me.

High attacking monsters like Nerissa Tridawn and Djinn Oshannus, Phantom The Abyss and even the other 2 magic monsters I used is always a great joy to watching the opponent's monsters getting hit and losing out.

I was also fortunate that opponent didn't use ranged attack monsters in this battle, otherwise, the Djinn Oshannus and the monsters to follow might be under more pressure with some of the ranged attack monsters having attack in excess of 5 and void or phase might also fail in some instances to stop ranged attack monsters hitting.

I hope as usual, that, you guys enjoyed goin thru this blog and the battle I shared and I will be ack with more later with this week.

Have a great Weekend guys.

Thanks and Have a good day :)
