Splinterlands - BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge - Theme: Fog Of War

It's good to know that, Splinterlands team has revamped the SHARE YOUR BATTLE challenge to BATTLE MAGE SECRETS challenge with a bit of change in the rules which provides more wider options and seems to be more interesting.

The theme of the week, Fog of War is something which takes out the abilities of sneak and snipe although opportunity ability will still be available.

We intend to see more of ranged attack ones as with fog of war, the magic monsters will have the disadvantage of facing magic reflect and with sneak out of equation, there is limit on number of melee attack monsters we use!!!

The battle I selected for this week's challenge with Fog of War as the rule for the battle to be qualified and I have selected this 21 MANA cap battle with rule sets of melee mayhem and aim true apart from the fog of war.

We have just 3 magic monsters from either side of the battle and we both have Doctor Blight which is maxed out and both sides do have a monster with cleanse ability to counter the poison and affliction abilities.

So here is the lineup I used for this battle!!!!

Lineup:

1. Baakjira:

With Fog of War ruleset, we need a strong monster with huge health and healing ability at the front as all the attack will be flowing towards it and I felt Baakjira is a good option for that and hence it's used in front position!!!

2. Merdaali Guardian:

A tank healer with armor building option with repair ability is what makes this monster special and I think this and Kelp Initiate played a major role in this win for me!!!

3. Kelp Initiate:

As I mentioned above, this One was vital in cleaning the poison every time Doctor Blight attacked from other side.

4. Albatross:

Another tank healer as the Baakjira was always center of attraction here.

5. Doctor Blight:

The main attacker in this lineup and to be frank, the only attacker in my lineup with poison and affliction abilities, as always keeping Baakjira in check.

6. Chaos Agent:

Not much use of this monster, but the only reason it was used is to take on any melee attack ones as this battle had a melee mayhem ruleset!!!!

Battle:

The Baakjira and Doctor Blight are the main characters in this battle and the tank healers Merdaali Guardian, Albatross along with cleansers Kelp Initiate and River Nymph ensured this battle will only end through the fatigue as the battle went on to be fought for 25 rounds!!!

It was a good One and melee mayhem didn't have much effect on this as the lone melee attack monster used, didn't have much to showcase!!!
