Splinterlands - First Experience Of Waka Spiritblade
Hello Friends,

Ever since the tie-up with Waka Floka announced to bring out Waka Spiritblade summoner, it was the BIGGEST news until day before yesterday when the First 500 cards were sold within Seconds!!!
Infact, Waka Spiritblade will keep making the news because of it's uniqueness in enabling all it's monsters it summons with poison throwing ability.
I just happen to face the Waka Spiritblade in One of the battles and felt like reviewing it and possible monsters to tackle it!!!

For the battle, I used Obsidian, the new Earth Splinter Summoner as this was a Reverse Speed battle and there wasn't our usual summoner for the rule set, Yodin Zaku and tat led me to go ahead my almost leveled up summoner of Obsidian for this battle.

Battle and Lineup:

https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sl_3c956a09c629f88a6a348edee44cc0c2&ref=coolguy123
The battle had 46 MANA cap and that was good to accommodate 6 BIG impact monsters as mentioned below keeping in mind that, it was a reverse speed battle.
And yes, there was other rule set of Armored Up which was another reason for usage of this lineup with 5 magic monsters.
Lineup:
1. Mycelic Slipspawn:

Used this to utilize the taunt ability it possesses to safeguard other monsters from getting exposed to possible sneak, snipe attacks.
Besides the taunt, this monster has another ability of taking just 1 attack from monsters with power of 5 or above.
2. Kron The Undying:

One of the most used earth splinter monsters by me for it's self healing, good health and good magic attack.
3. Magi of the Forest:

Although it lacks more health, it will be a good one against monsters without magic reflect and it played it's part in this win.
4. Goblin Psychic:

The reverse speed battle means, this guy should be there to poison, afflict and also tank heal.
It also gives 3 useful magic attack and contributes like an all-rounder!!!
5. Spirit of the Forest:

Second tank healer and more importantly, the only ranged attack monster in my lineup.
It gives those armors, it keeps attacking the Second line magic and ranged attack monsters and being a flying monster, has increased chance of evading attack from melee and ranged attack monsters.
6. Doctor Blight:

The monster which will be there in most of the battles nowadays is this Doctor Blight.
His impact will be even more in such reverse speed battles since it will be attacking early unlike in other rule set battles.

Battle:
Round 1:
So, with those monsters and Obsidian as summoner I took on the most talked summoner of Waka Spiritblade and the initial fear of facing him was slowly getting increased after seeing the awesome lineup the opponent had used.
But, my initial expression was also that, opponent might have missed to see the reverse speed battle rule set as his monsters were having 3 or more speed except for front monster of Bone Golem.
The Bone Golem has to as it was targeted by all the magic guys with Spirit of the Forest targeting Gem Meteor from other side.

Round 2:
The battle got intense in round 2 with 2 monsters from opponent's lineup following the Bone Golem.
Corrupted Pegasus was vulnerable against the magic monsters while the taunting Mycelic Slipspawn was regaining health by Spirit of the Forest and Goblin Psychic.
Next to follow Corrupted Pegasus was the Gem Meteor and that brought Lira The Dark to the front position.

Round 3:
I never thought that, it will be such an easy win against the summoner which was expected to be in the range of an Yodin Zaku, but it was true.
Opponent lost Lira the Dark First and then Octopider as well in this round!!!
He was left with just Cornealus, but being a ranged attack monster, it can't attack from the front!!

Round 4:
It didn't take much time to all the magic warriors plus the ranged attack monster of Spirit of the Forest as the battle got folded in 4 rounds!!!!

Waka Spiritblade was nice and it was nice to fight against him, but, besides my lineup, opponent also helped me by fielding more speed monsters and another interesting point to be noted is the presence of 2 tank heal monsters with a front monster which takes just One health reduction if the monster has power of 5 or more!!!

I am sure the Waka Spiritblade will be good and useful against certain rule sets which we will explore as we battle more and there will be even better strategies to get rid of the summoner and it's monsters.
That was some one sided battle as no monster got removed from my lineup.
Thank you all as always and our prayers will be continued for our Ukrainian brothers and sisters in this crisis time. Be brave guys!!!
Thanks and Have a good day :)

Really cool battle, I thought your opponent would put more resistance because of the ability of the Summoner, but you basically swept your rival!!
Thank you.
Opponent's monsters with more speed, were also on my side rather than helping him.
Usage of 2 tank healers did the trick for me I think.
Good day to you :)
