First of all, wishing safe stay to all our Ukrainian Hive Bloggers as they struggle for their life amid the ongoing war and I hope the war ends soon to save the lives of innocent people.
As I continue blogging on Hive, here I go with another Splinterlands blog for the weekly challenge of SHARE YOUR BATTLE with theme of Goblin Psychic, the Chaos Legion edition Earth Splinter monster.

Goblin Psychic will be a monster which will be more useful in reverse speed battles because of it's slow speed, but, yes, it can be used in normal battle alongside another tank healer like Wood Nymph or Spirit of the Forest.

Stats:

As we see from the above table, this monster is best suited to be used with new summoner from Chaos Legion as it's a magic attack monster which can heal the tank and has couple of other nice abilities.
The magic attack is constant throughout the 10 levels i.e. 2 attack.
Just like attack, speed also remains same in all the levels with speed of 1 and that makes it a good candidate to be used in reverse speed battle.
The health starts at 3 and keeps increasing as we level this up to be a max of 7.
The nice part of this monster is it's abilities.
While tank heal is available from level One itself, there are 3 more abilities it can have from level 4, 7 and 10 as I discuss below.
At level 4, it gets affliction ability to stop the healing from the monsters it attacks.
At level 7, it gets silence ability to reduce the magic attack by 1 from all the magic monsters on the other side of the battle.
And finally at level 10, it gets dispel ability to remove all the positive status effects a monster could have got.

Battle and Lineup:

The battle had max MANA cap i.e. 99 and that made me to go with some of the high profile monsters and also use couple of nice ranged attack monsters since there was a rule set of Close Range which allows even the ranged attack monsters to be able to attack from front position.
The lineup was as below:

Lineup:

1. Mycelic Slipspawn:

I thought of using this taunt ability monster as I it can also take lesser attack from monsters with 5+ power since we can expect some awesome monsters in this being a 99 MANA cap battle!!!
Besides the abilities, this also gives a nice 3+1 magic attack because of the +1 it gets from the new Earth splinter summoner.

2. Flesh Golem:

Wanted to utilize this as a backup front monster as the expectation from a 99 MANA cap battle will be high and front monster will be the one which will bear most of the attack.

3. Kron The Undying:

Since I used a +1 magic ability summoner, I used 2 more magic monsters including this one to utilize the greater impact of magic attack and also this is a healing tank and has huge health as well to be a back front monster just in case.

4. Goblin Psychic:

Used the theme monster of Goblin Psychic as one of the 2 monsters with tank heal ability with Spirit of the Forest being the other.
Besides the tank heal, the other reason I used this is to have those 2 additional abilities of affliction and silence since we can expect healing and magic monsters in such high profile battles.

5. Spirit of the Forest:

The Second tank heal monster in my lineup and it's snipe attack is also useful to get rid of Second line magic and ranged attack monsters.

6. Mitica Headhunter:

Lastly, I used another ranged attack monster which also has piercing ability to check for those armors and this was particularly helpful to remove those armors of Grum Flameblade monster.

Opponent used Dice edition summoner of Fire Splinter with monsters Grum flameblade, Lava Launcher, Djinn Inferni, Ifrit Rising, Magi of Chaos and Forgotten One.

Battle:

Round 1:

Grum Flameblade and Mycelic Slipspawn were the 2 to bear most of the attack in this round and yet, those 2 survived with Mycelic Slipspawn getting stunned from Lava Launcher.

Round 2:

Yet again, Grum Flameblade and Mycelic Slipspawn took most of the attack and were wiped out in this round and in the end, even Lava Launcher has to bow out to those magic monsters I had.

Round 3:

Djinn Inferni and Ifrit Rising were good in First 2 rounds, but, they couldn't make it to round 4 as both were removed because of the combined attack I had.

Round 4 and 5:

The remaining 2 didn't pose much threat as the monsters got removed totally in round 4 and 5 and that gave a nice win to me with Goblin Psychic supporting the monsters in it's own way.

Questions and Answers:

Did my strategy work? What will I try differently next time?

I think yes, it worked out well to have a nice win with each of those monsters contributing even with Mycelic Slipspawn as well although it couldn't even attack once since it got stunned twice in First 2 rounds, but it ensured the other monsters aren't getting exposed early with it's taunt ability.

Do I like the GOBLIN PSYCHIC? Why or why not?

I use it most when I see a reverse speed battle and I don't have Yodin Zaku enabled to be used as a summoner.
The reason being it's slow speed although it will be a good one in normal battles as well because of it's abilities.

That's all guys, this was a 99 MANA cap battle, there was no Yodin Zaku involved, yet the battle got folded in just a bit above 4 rounds and that shows the power of magic in this battle.
Thanks and I hope you enjoyed the battle and also the blog content explaining it. Will bring back few more battle details soon.

Thanks and Have a good day :)
