Splinterlands | Buying and Leveling More Chaos Legion Cards!

I continue to cost-average my way into buying Chaos Legion Cards in Splinterlands trying to get a competitive Set to compete in the Gold League Modern League. This is a report on the progress I have been making.

I continue to buy cards off the market to get my Chaos Legion collection more complete as I see it as far more efficient than buying packs. Some week ago, it felt like there was somewhat of a flash sale with many prices being really low also on the new reward cards which I now allmost all have leveld up already. The acti of just collecting remains very enjoyable especially when able to do it with actual earnings from within the Splinterlands Ecosystem.

Summoners
Summoners are quite a bit cheaper now compared to what I paid for them but they have been really fun to use in battles and I guess it's part of cost-averaging cards.

I don't see the benefit of having Fiend Legendary cards at level 3 so I consider them complete just having 1 copy.

Epic Cards

I still have a long way to go on collecting all the Epic cards of this set but I did make some progress buying a bunch. I also leveled up the Acid Shooter card after buying a bunch more when they were going for around 0.28$, Another one I bought some copies of is the Wave Brood which I now have 10 off.

I Clearly have a lot of work yet to do on these cards which generally are not crazy expensive compared to summoners and legendary cards but things do add up.

Rare Cards


The Rare card are somewhat similar to the Epics, I am however making progress. I did bey enough from the Pelacor Arbalest card to get it to level 5

I will make the tables on these and the common cards in the next update.

Common Cards

Also still quite some progress left to make on Common cards which need 100 copies to get to level 6. I did buy & level up the Hill Giant & Venari Scout as I need lower mana cost tanks for the Earth Splinter.

Conclusion

It's actually quite a long road to collect and level up all Chaos Legion cards to match level 5 Summoners. The good thing though is that most of the expensive cards are already out of the way while the cheaper ones tend to be easier to add and I will start focusing more on them these coming months.

I have my kelya Frendul at level 2. That's the only summoner I have levelled up. I think you can level up with GF too, some of them are similar price than needing 5 ordinary. I also got nearly 3 DEC for a win in modern. Wild only gives me about 0.5 maximum. I'm Still deciding which other summoner to level up !

Wow, Wild is paying out less than Modern? That's really surprising to me. The pools are the same size and I figured there'd be much ore competition going to modern

I am playing in wild now. I have more cards to choose from. But the reason is actually in modern my win rate is low. Because the summoners they use are worth hundred of dollars !

It's the bots, Wild seems to be full of them again. Feels like 90% of the games now are against them. I guess they still have to be adjusted to find the best Modern Strategy. For new players modern is a real blessing.

That's very surprising to me since most of what gets rented from me with bots are cards from untamed and CL. Plus bots did nothing but play starter cards for months so it seems weird they'd now be hamstrung in modern. Just goes to show how absolutely unpredictable this game can be sometimes.

Keyla by far is the best summoner, I would say Obsidian is the 2nd best. It also kind of shows in the prices of the cards. If you can get golden cards for a similar price it's a great deal. Good luck also building your collection!

Thanks for showing us how you are leveling up your cards. I am waiting on the airdrop to finish and hope rare summoners get cheaper.

yeah, I would not be surprised for cards to get cheaper before they go up in price again. It's still quite expensive even though collection power is really cheap now just from the reward cards that are being dumped. I just continue to cost-average my way in anticipating many more players to come in during the next couple of years and also just to have fun with in the game.

Summoners are always the bottleneck but I have found them to be worth it so far. From what I understand, each land plot will also need a summoner on it which will drain the supply even more.

Nice progress. The cards are selling off now because some of these bot accounts that have won tens of thousands of packs just opened them and put everything on the market at once. Many of the rare cards had over 1500 copies dropped on the market by one account (firevault)

I was going to buy some but I'm just stacking DEC right now and waiting for the 75% increase.

DEC eventually will go back toward the peg, in that regard, it's a 'no brainer, the question though is how long it will take. Bots also remain an issue even after all measures that have been taken, renting is just overpowered right now compared to buying and holding cards. Some kind of bonus % in assets held in the game for earned focus points would be nice and give players more incentives to buy.

I'm quite confident though that the game will move forward in a good direction, for as far as fun and enjoyment goes it has taken some major steps after the last update.

Once DEC stops being given out I don't think it will take long. I think people will start buying it up once it gets close.

One thing I've noticed is that the price of dec doesn't really matter when people are renting cards in dec. Whether its .015 cents or .0005 they spend the same amount of it on the rentals.

But when DEC is at .0005 it makes buying cards with it very unattractive and selling them very attractive. It almost means the USD value of the rental market sucks so no one is incentivized to buy there either.

I know it doesn't make sense that it would make a difference economically but based on my observations on the rental and buying market over the last year, I think they should push the peg for dec to $0.01. I think the entire Splinterlands economy would get a huge boost even though it absolutely shouldn't. It's like stock splits I guess. They shouldn't push up market caps but in todays markets they do.
