#PT first, #ENG depois, #Ecency forever

O TIME QUE EU DECIDI MONTAR

Meu time ficou com as seguintes posições:

  1. DJINN APPRENTICE

O TIME ADVERSÁRIO

  1. Chaos Agent
  2. Scavo Chemist
  3. Xenith Archer
  4. Djinn Apprentice

A LUTA

Round 1

#PT first, #ENG later, #Ecency forever

The best #play2earn game out there is #Splinterlands and you can only find it here at #hive! Let's play?

This post is a submission to the Weekly Social Media Challenge Splinterlands!

My participation in weekly media challenges alternates between battles and composition analysis (team lineups). For this week I selected a recent match where I was caught off guard in the GOLD 3 league, having to play a summoner starter.

MY STRATEGY

I faced several problems for this battle:

  1. Summoner: I didn't have any summoners bought or rented, meaning I needed to battle with the starter options.
  2. Cards: I didn't have any rented cards, having to play with the cards I own. Practically all of my splinter cards are earned as a reward, even the "best" cards are at level 1. Be clear that I didn't invest in building a Fire splinter team, and the reason is obvious: I don't have any money.
  3. No Melee: The restriction of not being able to use physical attack on the splinter dedicated to brute force totally broke me.

Given these starting points, my summoner choice was obvious: Pyre to add speed to the team. As for the monsters, I was in doubt because the options were really scarce. I chose to take Djinn Apprentice in front followed by Fire Elemental, thus investing all available mana.

The hope was that with the speed of the Fire Elemental I could attack first and then take out any low health monsters that were placed in early positions to slow my team down.

THE TEAM I DECIDED TO BUILD

This battle took place in the GOLD III league (Modern mode) and can be watched via this link: https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sl_7162c41d575b2bc14978fc696a2c3dce&ref=crazyphantombr

For this game, I needed to use the summoner Pyre, LVL 1, starter. I used this summoner a lot when I started playing Splinterlands, but not anymore.

My team was in the following positions:

  1. DJINN APPRENTICE
Magic attack, for quick elimination, with reasonable health. That was the option...

  2. ELEMENTAL FIRE
Fast attack, with two points of damage and guaranteed Blast explosion! Eventually able to take down up to two opponents per round.

I liked the team, but I didn't believe I would have a chance due to being playing in the Gold league! Let's go to the match!

THE ADVERSARY TEAM

My opponent surprisingly also didn't have Fire summoners and needed to use the starter collection, being with Pyre just like me!

Used two positions to slow me down, while betting on Djinn Apprentice magic damage with all his chips:

  1. Chaos Agent
  2. Scavo Chemist
  3. Xenith Archer
  4. Djinn Apprentice

THE FIGHT

Round 1

Before the end of Round 1 I had already liquidated the two opposing tanks.

Round 2

Before Round 2 was over, I lost the fight. My strategy failed because even having much higher speed, and having eliminated the first opponent opponent, when the Fire Elemental remained as the last man, he could not attack in the first position, so his death was inevitable.

There was simply nothing I could do to avoid defeat.

RESULT

A nice defeat, eventually for a bot. How humiliating!

I end up very unhappy with the chaos that the rules of battle have imposed on me. I'm surprised to find myself in such a situation in the Gold 3 league, which I struggle so much to achieve. It remains to learn the lesson and be prepared for the next one!
