We have been viewing the crypto market with reservations for a while now. Several companies and projects succumbed to the great winter, leaving a trail of destruction and distrust.

At the same time, other projects proved to be well-structured and resilient. New ideas have emerged and try to prove their value daily, through publications that surround us and, why not say, tempt us.

In the gamer area, there is nothing to discuss about the strength of #splinterlands, which has gone through the turbulences of both the crypto market, led by BTC, and its own, through the balance of existing intentions in the development team and its governance.

The game has passed and survived, and that's what makes it stand out.

Being an NFT game, it's natural for us to look at the money.

Where does the value reside?

So from now on I'll digress on where the value of splinterlands is, from my point of view of course!

The game

How much are you willing to pay for a game?

In the definition of Craig Lindley, Lennart Nacke and Charlotte Sennersten, gameplay can be understood as:

Gameplay experience corresponds to an interaction between game design and performance of cognitive tasks, with a variety of emotions arising from or associated with different elements of motivation, task performance, and completion

People need to want to play the game. The emotions aroused in the act of playing itself must be such that they sustain a player's desire to return. This adds value, and we certainly have it in #splinterlands!

I'm willing to play Splinterlands, and have been doing so for almost two years!

NFTs

The issued tokens represented by cards have their value combined with their potential within the game. Do cards with greater usability add value? Certainly! However, the amount of cards in circulation also affects the individual value of each NFT.

A card can be highly sought after for its in-game potential, but if there is enough supply its value will remain low. Supply and demand determine the value of the card. Not in isolation, but in conjunction with usability.

The value of each NFT is divided into at least two fractions, corresponding to:

• Usability value
• Supply and demand value

The fraction corresponding to supply and demand was very inflated, in my perception.

Exactly one year ago, I was looking to buy my favorite cards. That's how I started creating my deck (my collection). It was in October 2022 that I decided to stop acquiring these NFT cards in a ′′ random ′′ way to focus on a very clear goal: building my summoner portfolio.

I filtered my movements to note only the amount spent on summoners, in the months that I made purchases. The first thing that calls attention is the interruption between the months of February and May.

Accumulated equity takes into account the value of the card at the time of data extraction. It would be the sale value, if I wanted to get rid of the tokens. In fact, it is not the sum between the value of the month and the amount invested in the month.

The amount invested in the month concerns summoners only. In January, for example, I acquired ~$22 worth of monster cards that were needed to make some adjustments to my deck. This favor does not appear in the table.

An interesting fact is that in absolute numbers, after having invested around ~US$46 in summoners, I'm back to my initial equity, as my collection is valued at ~US$67.

The fraction of the value that was supported by the low bid decreased as card printing increased.

Tokens

We can see that there are several tokens related to #Splinterlands. Some of them are issued and managed by the team. Others were created around the game, and may or may not be useful or relate to it in some way.

I've been betting a lot on the value of DEC because I see it in action in a more concrete way. So much so that after the end of the AirDrop of SPS I made the sale to get DEC. With DEC I acquired more cards, which came to compose the practically extinct Collection Power (CP), necessary to distribute the players in the strata of the leagues. (Newbie attention: CP is not a token, it's just the sum of the "strength" of the cards at your disposal, put simply)

Migration of value from NFT to SPS

Here I want to leave my reading about the future.
With the implementation of replacing CP with SPS, naturally some players should stop accumulating CP to accumulating SPS.

But accumulate CP literally means to accumulate cards, of any type, as even the unpopular card has its small CP strength value. Stop accumulating cards eventually means making them available to markets, orment the offer.

Supply increases, value decreases. The rule is clear!

When losing the value it had due to its CP strength, the tendency is that only the fraction of the value referring to its playability remains on the card. That is, the tendency is for players to notice a reduction in the value of their NFT card collection, just as I experienced with my summoner collection.

And still...

Once the NFT assets in card format are sold, receiving DEC tokens, the player will be able, among the various options available, to eventually acquire more SPS since this would mean, in theory, more access to game rewards.

Conclusion

This is the movement I see, of transferring value from cards to game-related tokens (DEC and SPS).

In other words, the value of cards will drop even more after the implementation of SPS leagues!

As I always say: Splinterlands moves the economy on a daily basis at Hive, and with the heated market, it grows. Anyone who believes in the future of Hive knows that one of its foundations is Splinterlands! That's why it's important to keep the wheel turning. My little part I'm doing!

Já faz um tempo que temos visto o mercado cripto com ressalvas. Várias companhias e projetos sucumbiram ao grande inverno, deixando um rastro de destruição e desconfiança.

Neste mesmo tempo, outros projetos se mostraram bem estruturados e com capacidade de resiliência. Novas ideias surgiram e tentam diariamente provar seu valor, através de publicações que nos rodeiam e, por que não dizer, nos tentam.

Na área gamer, não há o que discutir quanto a força do #splinterlands, que tem passado pelas turbulências tanto do mercado cripto, capitaneado pelo BTC, quando pela sua própria, através da balança de intenções existentes na equipe desenvolvedora e sua governança.

O jogo tem passado e sobrevivido, e isso é o que faz ele entrar em destaque.

Sendo um jogo NFT, é natural olharmos para o dinheiro.

Aonde reside o valor?

Então a partir de agora eu vou divagar sobre onde está o valor do splinterlands, sob o meu ponto de vista é claro!

O jogo

Quanto você está disposto a pagar por um jogo?

Na definição de Craig Lindley, Lennart Nacke e Charlotte Sennersten, jogabilidade pode ser entendida como:

A experiência da jogabilidade corresponde a uma interação entre o design do jogo e o desempenho de tarefas cognitivas, com uma variedade de emoções decorrentes ou associadas a diferentes elementos de motivação, desempenho de tarefas e conclusão

É preciso que as pessoas queiram jogar o jogo. As emoções despertadas no ato do de jogar em si devem ser de tal forma que sustentem um desejo do jogador retornar. Isso agrega valor, e certamente temos em #splinterlands!

Eu estou disposto a jogar Splinterlands, e tenho feito isso a quase dois anos!

NFTs

Os tokens emitidos representados por cards tem seu valor aliado ao seu potencial dentro do jogo. Cards com maior usabilidade agregam valor? Certamente! Porém a quantidade de cards em circulação também afeta o valor individual de cada NFT.

Um card pode ser muito procurado pelo seu potencial dentro do jogo, mas havendo oferta suficiente o seu valor vai permanecer baixo. Oferta e demanda determinam o valor do card. Não isoladamente, mas em conjunto com a usabilidade.

O valor de cada NFT é dividido ao menos em duas frações, correspondendo ao:

• Valor de usabilidade
• Valor de oferta e demanda

A fração correspondente à oferta e demanda esteve muito inflada, na minha percepção.

A exatos um ano atrás, eu procurava comprar os meus cards favoritos. Foi assim que fui criando o meu baralho (minha coleção). Foi em outubro de 2022 que decidi parar de adquirir esses cards NFT de forma "aleatória" para focar em um objetivo muito claro: montar meu portfólio de invocadores.

Eu filtrei minhas movimentações para anotar apenas o montante gasto com invocadores, nos meses que realizei compras. A primeira coisa que chama atenção é a interrupção entre os meses de fevereiro a maio.

O patrimônio acumulado leva em conta o valor do card no momento da extração dos dados. Seria o valor de venda, caso eu quisesse me desfazer dos tokens. De fato, não é a soma entre o valor do mês com o valor investido no mês.

O valor investido no mês diz respeito apenas aos invocadores. Em Janeiro, por exemplo, eu adquiri ~U$22 em cards de monstros que foram necessários para realizar alguns ajustes no meu baralho. Esse favor não aparece na tabela.

Um dado interessante é que em números absolutos, após ter investido cerca de ~U$46 em invocadores, estou de volta ao meu patrimônio inicial, pois minha coleção está avaliada em ~U$67.

A fração do valor que era sustentada pela baixa oferta foi decrescendo enquanto a impressão dos cards aumentava.

Tokens

Podemos observar que existem diversos tokens relacionados à #Splinterlands. Alguns deles são emitidos e gerenciados pela equipe. Outros foram criadas no entorno do jogo, podendo ou não ser úteis ou se relacionar com ele de alguma forma.

Eu tenho apostado muito no valor do DEC pois vejo ele em ação de forma mais concreta. Tanto que após o fim do AirDrop de SPS realizei a venda para obter DEC. Com DEC eu adquiria mais cards, que vinham a compor a praticamente extinta Collection Power (CP), necessária para distribuir os players nos estratos das ligas. (Atenção novato: CP não é um token, é apenas a soma da "força" dos cards a sua disposição, de modo simplista)

Migração do valor do NFT para SPS

Aqui eu quero deixar a minha leitura sobre o futuro.
Com a implantação da substituição do CP por SPS, naturalmente alguns jogadores devem deixar de acumular CP para acumular SPS.

Mas acumular CP significa literalmente acumular cards, de qualquer tipo, pois mesmo o card impopular tem seu pequeno valor de força CP. Deixar de acumular cards significa eventualmente colocá-los a disposição dos mercados, aumentando a oferta.

Oferta aumenta, valor diminui. A regra é clara!

Ao perder o valor que possuía devido a sua força CP, a tendência é que reste na carta apenas a fração do valor referente à sua jogabilidade. Ou seja, a tendência é que os jogadores percebam uma redução no valor da sua coleção de cards NFT, tal qual eu experimentei com a minha coleção de invocadores.

E ainda...

Uma vez vendido os ativos NFT em formato de cards, recebendo em token DEC, o jogador poderá, dentre as diversas opções que tem, eventualmente adquirir mais SPS uma vez que isso significaria, em tese, mais acesso à recompensas de jogo.

Conclusão

Esse é o movimento que eu vejo, de transferência de valor dos cards para os tokens relacionados ao jogo (DEC e SPS).

Em outras palavras, o valor dos cards vai cair ainda mais após a implantação das ligas por SPS!

Como eu sempre digo: Splinterlands movimenta diariamente a economia na Hive, e com o mercado aquecido é que se cresce. Quem acredita no futuro da Hive sabe que um dos pés da mesma é o Splinterlands! Por isso é importante manter a roda girando. Minha pequena parte estou fazendo!
