#PT first, #EN depois

Vencer no Earthquake

COMPONDO O TIME

MEU TIME

Escolhi o Bortus de invocador, Torrent Fiend na linha de frente, Gargoya Lion na segunda posição e na retaguarda o Phantom of the Abyss.

TIME ADVERSÁRIO

Quem ataca primeiro é o Phantom of Abyss, que deve ativar a raiva do adversário.

#PT first, #EN later

Hey guys, @CrazyPhantomBR in the area! My participation in the Weekly Media Challenge, this is the best game in the #hive #play2earn ecosystem that exists!! #Splinterlands!!

This post is a submission to the Weekly Battle Challenge Splinterlands!

Today we are not going to analyze just one card, but a composition (team). Those who follow my posts know that I really like the weekly challenges and I keep switching between card reviews and complete compositions! I think it's very productive, and serves the purpose of putting the game in the trending topics.

OBJECTIVE

Win at Earthquake

On this day I was skating in Liga Gold III, due to the increased difficulty that this season is showing, possibly due to the change in rewards that now require more evolved cards, which I don't have.

PREVIOUS ANALYSIS

This is the basic strategy for #Splinterlands lovers, and consists of checking the opponent's previous battle history. All five of the opponent's games showed splinter Water, always with the summoner Kelya Frendul and, even though the rest of the lineup varied, always with well-upgraded Gold cards.

The opposing team would certainly be like Water, I also tend to use this splinter in matches with Earthquake as Kelya Frendul's additional shield can be decisive for victory.

However, I couldn't arrange the cards satisfactorily, because I necessarily wanted to use the Phantom of the Abyss, which is a card with 3 points of magical, fast, and flying attack, that is, perfect for this Ruleset.

I decided to take a risk, and lower the level, invoking Bortus level 0 (starter) in order to save a mana point, and manage to place the Phantom of Miss, as I usually call it, and also another flying card, the * Gargoya Lion*.

The bet was to survive the Earthquake, while the opponent died alone.

COMPOSING THE TIME

Everyone knows my favorite splinter is Death, followed by Water. Well, the Earthquake ruleset in my opinion can be worked well with flying monsters and with monsters resistant to physical damage.

At this point I had to make an initial choice, comparing my currently available summoners:

  1. Thaddius Brood, at level 5 (rented)
  2. Kelya Frendul, at level 4 (own)
  3. Bortus, at level 1 (starter)

By betting on Bortus I gave up using Harklaw, which I have available at level 2. I also gave up the speed and extra shield of Kelya Frendul. All of this turned into a bet on the direct damage to the life points that magic provides.

According to the analysis portal Splintertools, my composition's chance of winning is only 46%. In a simulation of the impossible scenario, with Kelya Frendul the chances of victory for the same team would be 97%.

So why did I win?

MY TEAM

I chose Bortus as a summoner, Torrent Fiend in the front line, Gargoya Lion in second position and Phantom of the Abyss in the rear.

ADVERSARY TEAM

The opponent chose summoner Kelya Frendul level 4, the demon of shields DiemonShark, followed by the sneak combo of Uraeus and Pelacor Bandit. All monsters in Gold Foliage, at level 3, 4 and 5.

The game looked right, from the opponent's point of view.

This match took place in the Gold 3 league, and can be watched through the link:

The image above shows the opening of Round 1, after applying the buffs to speed and shields.

Who attacks first is the Phantom of Abyss, which should activate the opponent's rage. He is also the one who provides the first Miss, coming from Uraeus.

In round 2, the second Miss of Uraeus takes place, and in round 3 the third, and in this last opportunity it was in the Gargoya Lion.

The Pelacor Bandit didn't miss attacks on the Phantom of Abyss, leaving it with only one life point!

At the end of round 4, in the image above, we realize that the game is over, as the next bid is Phantom of Abyss. The explanation for my victory lies in the fact that the opposing Uraeus was completely useless against my flying cards, as they managed to evade all of his attacks.

So my friends, sometimes betting on opponents' evasion chances can be the way to beat a great level 4 GOLD player with level 1 cards.

At least this time for sure!
