My Splinterlands Diary: New Cards Rented and Borrowed

After I post yesterday about my new gladius cards and my participation in brawls, our leader in the Gank's Squadron guild lent me some cards to use and help me grow my team. One of them is this card, Shiraza.

I wrote the following comment on the gladiator card with no attack, Krash Wanderford:
"There's a unit with no attack, Krash Wanderford. He has swiftness ability that provides a speed buff to the team. It's a waste in my opinion for a gladiator card to not have any attack."
The leader of our guild @snowboarderpete replied to my post:
"Krash wanderford can be great when you give it the weapons training ability. I delegated you a Shirza so you can hopefully try out that ability."
So now I have Shiraza (Weapons Training) in my team. I'm supposed to use it with Krash Wanderford but I didn't wait for the next brawl to try the card. I played with it in Modern league battles. This is the first battle with Shiraza:

Although I won the battle, Weapons Training didn't work because the Asel Alagosdil card had an ability "Untrainable", meaning Weapons Training will not work on it. I was too eager and excited to try this ability so I went to rent cards from the market. I rented a neutral card so that I can use it in all the elements and not just water. In addition, I also rented another magic card to support my own cards.

The two cards I rented were Ulundin Overseer to use with Shiraza's Weapons Training ability. It's a defensive card with high health and armor but has no attack. It's perfect unit to partner with Shiraza. I rented a Shock Trooper too. It has four magic attack which is big for a four mana card.
I also rented 1,000 SPS to increase my glint rewards. Although I don't earn SPS because I don't have a spellbook, it more than doubled the glints I earned. I can buy reward cards quickly and increase my cards faster.
The next battles with Shiraza were mixed. I won some and lost some to stronger teams.

Either win or lose, the addition of Shiraza brought a new experience to my games. It's now more enjoyable with the new cards I play with. I'll check some posts on how these cards work and the best team ups to use.
Not just the water element, I can also use the pair in other elements such as in this battle.

That's my update for my Splinterlands diary today. Thank you for reading and see you next time.

Nice work, glad the card is getting you some wins and figuring out how to use new abilities is a bit of learning curve. Moxian rebel is another great weapons training card
