My Splinterlands Diary - Opening Foundation Reward Chests

Hello Splinterlands players, I hope you have a nice day! Join me today as I buy and open reward packs after earned from completing the daily battles. The reward chests are the incentive for playing in the Frontier format. It's the free to play format in Splinterlands that beginners can start with and collect the first set of cards. The more consistent one plays, the more cards will be won.

I have three reward chests to open today. I'm hoping to get some cards that will level up the current ones I have.

I'm opening the chests one by one so five cards will be revealed each time. The first chest contained the following cards.

It's a good start. I opened an epic card. I frequently use Lenore Nevermore together with the other epic card Sorrow Harvester. This card references Edgar Allan Poe's poem "The Raven"

The next chest was not as good but it contained three rare cards instead of one.

Spellmonger is used strategically. It doesn't have an attack but it's Thorns ability can damage melee units of the enemy. Paprikash from the Life element is a good card from the second position. It has Reach ability giving it an attack from second position.

The last chest is the worse, which only had one rare. It's an archon but I already maximized the level of the Fire archon and this one is no longer needed.

I checked my cards if there are any that can be levelled up to the next but there were none. That's it for now, I shall see tomorrow if I can get better rewards.
