Zard and Beccss Weekly Newsletter: July 12th 2023

Hello everyone and welcome back to the Zard and Beccss weekly newsletter!

Last week was such an exciting week and we can't wait to share all the new and exciting things with you all. Short intro today so let's get into it!

On Friday 7th July - Sunday 10th July @Beccss and I went to Twitchcon Paris! We learned so many new things to help make our streams better for all of you guys including new ways to spend your channel points, new Bits ideas for you all, and also made some new streamer friends from around Europe and introduced them to the world of Play To Earn gaming.

We were also able to hold the first ever Splinterlands x Twitchcon tournament which had an amazing prize pool of 4 Chaos Leigon packs and lots of DEC. Those that were in the stream had 6 chances to win Chaos Legion packs too rather than the usual Guess That Splinter.

Don't forget that this month we are giving away three new legendary cards for our Twitch subscribers. Below is a list of what each tier has the chance of winning;

Tier 1 - Fungus Fiend
Tier 2 - Chaos Dragon
Tier 3 - Astral Entity

If you want to try and win one of these amazing prizes, all you have to do is be a tier one, tier two, or tier three subscriber on Twitch and be in the stream on the first Sunday in August to take part - yes it is that simple!

In terms of our tournament point system, we would like to thank everyone who joins in our tournaments, and a massive thank you to our Twitch subs who take part too! The more subscribers enter and place in the top 7, the more chances you have of winning some amazing prizes ranging from Riftwater packs to Chaos Legion Packs.

All of our Twitch subscribers are automatically entered into the tournament point system if they play in any of our tournaments. It doesn't matter when you subscribe to us, as long as it is before our last tournament of the Month.

There has been a handful of tournaments this month so far, and a lot of subscribers have played but just missing out on the top 7. So far we only have two people who have made it on the podium.

We currently have a joint 1st place with @canada804 holding on strong from last week but @davethegreat has caught up with him. He was very close to overtaking Canada but just missed out on the 7th position spot.

Will anyone else come out of the woodwork and overtake both of them, having a massive lead for the packs and cards? Will Dave beat Canada? Or will someone new come along and subscribe and take a surprise lead? Find out next time on Splinterball Z.

Our Splinterlands Tournaments have been published and are live for you all to join in with.

This week we have one very special tournament happening on Wednesday at 8 pm UTC where we are hosting a no-bots or battle helpers-allowed tournament, to give away some of the prizes Matt won during the great burning event.

For this very special tournament, we do not want you to join on the Splinterlands event page as this will be a challenge v challenge tournament. The event page is only for promo purposes. The top player will bag themself a land plot while 2nd - 6th place will each get a Riftwatcher pack. 7th - 10th will each get 500 DEC.

If you would like to enter the land plot tournament, all you need to do is be a part of the Splinterlands TV stream and our discord where you will be sharing your fights with us. There will be rules and regulations so please make sure you read this post before joining.

We will return to normal tournament programming on Sunday 17th July with a silver tournament and our standard prize pool.

Apologies for the lack of GU content this week, as you have seen we've been very busy at Twitchcon but we do currently have a GU stream scheduled for Thursday evening.

We also have a Twitter giveaway to win a Woodcutter Imp card for two lucky people. All you have to do is follow both Zard and Beccss on Twitter and retweet the tweet. We will pick the winner via a spinning wheel and you will have 24hrs from the moment the winner is announced to DM us your wallet address so we can send this out to you.

We also have scholarships available that you can request and use for a month before starting your own decks.

There will also be new GU videos posted this week so keep an eye on the YouTube channel for more content.

SPLINTERLANDS BATTLE CONTEST

Thank you to everyone who has taken part in our weekly Splinterlands battle competition over the last few months. After much consideration, we are extending our deadline to 30 days rather than 7 days.

We have decided to make this change to have more people enter the contest and increase the prizes. It will no longer be the top battle that will get a prize, but instead the top 3 battles. The prizes are still in progress but it will be a range of DEC. To enter the contest all you have to do is be a part of our Discord, react to Zard and Beccss and leave your fight in the Splinterlands battle channel. You can enter as many times as you like in a month and can be ranked games, brawls, or tournament battles. The only rule is that it has to be a fight that you have done, it cannot be someone else's fight.

NEW SPLINTERLANDS TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Now we're not going to go into too much detail about this as it is still a work in progress, but we are starting a new tournament format for our Splinterlands players...Doubles.

Now this doesn't mean double tournaments because we've been there and done that, but we mean doubles! You and a friend against someone else and their friend! Keep an eye on our discord channel and our weekly newsletter for more information on this in the near future.

Our No Bots Allowed tournament will also be returning back to our streams - keep an eye on the discord channel to find out when this will be back and how to enter.
