Zard and Beccss Weekly Newsletter: July 30th 2023
Hello everyone and welcome back to the Zard and Beccss weekly newsletter!
New week new newsletter! Let's jump right into this one and see what has happened in the last week!
This week has been a very social media-heavy week. We've gone back to Tik Tok and decided to take a new approach to it. You will find all our skits, shorts, exclusive videos that won't be on YouTube, and behind the scene action from us.
So far @Beccss has done a short on My Pet Hooligan and Zard has started his Skit spree with his first victim Agent Stache.
There is a lot in the works at the moment so you want to make sure you drop us a follow there to keep up-to-date with all the extra goodies we give to you all.

July is over people!!! That means that our Fungus Fiend, Chaos Dragon, and Astral Entity have all found new homes.
Congratulations to @darupt for winning the Fungus Fiend. Hopefully, you play with it loads and give them the 0 love they deserve.
Well done to @canada804 for securing the Chaos Dragon AND the Atral Entity! Hopefully, they have helped you level it up and cause havoc on all your opponents' teams.
Although one door closed, a new one has opened, and because it's August that new door is filled with legendary cards it's time for a new subscriber giveaway! We have some great prizes this month for you all so let's get into it.
Tier 1s are battling for a Corpse Fiend.
Tier 2s are trying to grab a Desert Dragon
Tier 3s are fighting for a Grandmaster Rathe.
To get involved in these giveaways, all you need to do is subscribe to Crypto Zard on Twitch at the tier you want and you will be automatically entered into the giveaways. You will just need to be present in the last stream of the month to ensure you are entered into it.
The winners will be decided via a Death Wheel to keep things fair and clean.
Now I know why you're all here. You want to know who were the top three players in the tournament point system. Never fear here are the results.
Congratulations to @nitorage in clean sweeping EVERYONE with 29 points! You bagged yourself 1x Riftwatcher Pack, 1500 DEC, and 1x Chaos Legion Legendary card.
In a respectable second place, we have @davethegrat with 9 points bagging himself 1x Riftwatcher Pack, 1x Chaos Legion Reward Legendary card, and 1000 DEC.
In Third place was the man, the myth, the legend himself @supermani with 8 points getting his hands on 1x Gold Foil Common Card, 1x Chaos Legion Pack, and 500 DEC.
If you want to beat any of these players, a new month has started so everyone goes back to 0 points for clean fair fights.

Our Splinterlands Tournaments have been published and are live for you all to join in with.
This week there will be two tournaments happening. One will be held on Wednesday 2nd August at 8:15 pm UTC and will be a bronze modern league tournament. The second one will be on Sunday 6th August at 8 pm UTC, and be a silver league modern tournament.
As per usual, the top 11 players will win DEC and first place will also have a Chaos Legion pack added to their prize.
Much like everything else we do, if you are a tier 2 or tier 3 subscriber on Twitch your DEC payment will be doubled, so you have the potential of winning 4.6k DEC!

Our Wednesday tournament will be streamed live on SplinterlandsTV's Twitch channel, so make sure you are there for all the fun and games.
Our Sunday tournament will be hosted on our personal Twitch channel where there will be loads of giveaways and games to take part in to win some free cards and DEC.
We've been busy bees this week making so much content on Youtube for you all. No matter if you are a Splinterlands player, a Gods Unchained player, or a My Pet Hooligan player (or waiter) we made something for you.
Our Gods Unchained video focused on a very stingy death deck that just continuously refused to lose the game. No matter how hard Zard tried, they always came back trying to destroy him and his team. You get to see the whole gameplay and see Zards' thought process for playing certain cards in a certain order.
He also goes into detail on certain cards and what they are good for - deffo something you need to watch if you are interested in God's Unchained.
During the week YabaMatt released a Splinterlands proposal for implementing a daily burn of Riftwater packs. There wasn't an exact right or wrong answer to this but we weighed up both sides and had a discussion based on what people have said in the Tavern and on Twitter. This video focused on both sides before coming to a conclusion on what Zard was going to vote for this proposal.
With only a few days left of the proposal, if you still don't know which way to vote, this video is certainly something you would want to check out to see both sides in an unbias way and then vote for what you think.
You didn't think we forgot about Celestia Ultimate, did you? At the moment the $Champ token has tanked and not a lot of people know why. Some may think the game is failing, and some may think that people just need to sell their token quickly because of life obligations but we did some digging and found out the right answers. Since the video has been posted there has been a change in the $Champ token so maybe this gave some clarity to new and old players...who knows. But if you want a new game to look into and want to know more about their token before getting involved, check this video out!
If you are looking for a brand new First Person Shooter game then look no further, @Beccss has you covered. She has gone and done a review of a brand new game called My Pet Hooligan which is currently in Alpha. She has gone into detail on what the game is like, what to expect, and also some behind the scene footage so all of you guys can get the best bits of information.
She also lets you know how you can get into the game before it is released to the public.

This week Zard has the whole week off work and will be streaming new and old games for you all to see and play with him. Here is his streaming schedule for this week:
Monday: Splinterlands on Splinterlands TV.
Tuesday: TCG games including Gods Unchained, Splinterlands, and Cross The Ages
Wednesday: Splinterlands Tournament on Splinterlands TV
Thursday: RPG games including Stella Fantasy and NFT Champions. (Beccss may also stream My Pet Hooligan on this day.
Saturday: FPS games including Crypto-Shots, Ev.io, Dead Drop, and My Pet Hooligan.
SPLINTERLANDS BATTLE CONTEST
Thank you to everyone who has taken part in our weekly Splinterlands battle competition over the last few months. As we have now closed our July battles, it means that the August battles can now start rolling in.
If you have had a brilliant game don't forget to send it in to Zard and Beccss via our Discord server. All you have to do is react to Zard and Beccss and put your fight into our Splinterlands-Fights channel with your IGN.
We will then make a video at the end of the month showcasing the best 3 games. All placers will get DEC for being the best, and tier 2 or tier 3 Twitch subscribers who place get double payouts.
