Splinterlands - Share Your Battle Weekly Challenge with Cave Slug Monster

Another week and another challenge as always by Splinterlands and what a monster to get featured in this challenge!!!

Cave Slug is one of the nice monsters we have with all the latest abilities and fits well in Life splinter battles.

Cave Slug is from Life splinter and is a melee attack monster from Untamed category and I use it in most of the battles.

It gives 3 melee attack for me at level 3 and I do use it in combination with Silvershield Knight to get extra attack to all melee attack monsters.

If we see the above table, we can see that, the attack for this monster ranges between 2 to 4 and that is a good attack for a 5 mana cost monster considering it targets the monster with least health.

The speed varies between 1 and 2 in the 10 levels as and when it gets a new ability.

The health is better compared to attack and speed as the health starts at 4 and can go up to 6, but, this can be more than 6 as it is also a monster with scavenger ability to get a health added whenever a monster dies.

As for as it's abilities, we already saw about opportunity and scavenger and it also gets another ability slow when it is leveled up to level 10 which is the final level.

The battle involved blast and lost legendaries rule sets with a mana cap of 30 and I felt that was enough to have a good lineup as below including the Shieldbearer monster. Below is my lineup.

Shieldbearer:

good to have this for a blast battle as this is with huge number of armors and protects other monsters getting exposed to attack as this is also with taunt ability to attract all the attack towards it.

Furious Chicken:

The blast once again prompted me to use this in this position since this can save the monsters to follow from the blast attack for some time.

Silvershield Knight:

Used this as a back up front monster and also for increasing the melee attack for Shieldbearer and Cave Slug.

Cave Slug:

The theme mnster for this week, and this is more useful in this kind of blast battles as it can attack 2 or 3 monsters based on where the monster with lowest health is placed.

Divine Healer:

A required monster for all the battles as this is a tank healer.

Lone Boatman:

Like Cave Slug, this monster can also attack 2 or 3 monsters being a snipe attack monster and this was good in taking out couple of ranged attack monsters the opponent had used.

Ok, here I go with the screenshots from this battle to give a hint of how the battle go and I hope, you can make out the flow of the battle thru these screenshots.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

Yes, it worked nicely with Cave Slug and Lone Boatman to take care of back line monsters although Goblin Mech was threatening to take down all the monsters I had used.

It was a good lineup and even Furious Chicken contributed in that win by shielding Silvershield Knight from getting attacked early.

Do you like the CAVE SLUGS? Why or why not?

Yes, I like it a lot as it is one of the good monsters in the Life splinter and can keep removing the monsters with lowest health.

Monsters like Cave Slug, Serpentine Spy, Dragon Jumper all contribute more then the best front monsters such as Flesh Golem, Sea Monsters and others as with each attack, they can remove a monster which can otherwise be a dangerous non attacking monster such as Brownie. Isn't it?

That was a good battle with Shieldbearer and Goblin Mech as big monsters and other monsters did well to contribute in the win .
