How are you friends? Hope you are having an awesome week just after the Splinterlands season ended 5 days back and gearing up in this new season to achieve more higher goals.

I had planned to reach the Diamond league in the last season, but few continuous losses in the last few minutes of last season means, I couldn't achieve that goal through :(

Well, putting that back, I am setting the same goal again this week and hopefully, I will be able to achieve as there are still plenty of days and I have tried to upgrade few key monsters and also planning to change my battle strategies in terms of monsters I have been using regularly.

Here is my blog for this week's challenge of SHARE YOUR BATTLE weekly challenge and since I do not possess a Defender of Truth, I am sharing this nice battle I fought against the ever awesome Magnor and actually won it all because of the stun ability of Spirit Shaman which didn't allow the Magnor to attack even once in this 3 round battle!!!!

The theme monster for me is Spirit Shaman which is one of the nicest monsters by look and fearsome one in it's attack with the stun ability and even can evade the first attack because of Divine Shield ability.

Spirit Shaman is an epic Earth Splinter magic attack monster mainly used because of it's abilities rather than it's magic attack and is known to attack early because of it's good speed.

Lineup:

https://splinterlands.com/?p=battle&id=4f493508426acf46b0eb5e11c76befee2722b747

This was one of the shortest battles in terms of Mana cap as well as number of rounds of battle with just 19 Mana cap and had rule set of Close Range allowing the ranged attack monster to attack from first position just like one of the newly introduced Rewards card Beatrix Ironhead.

Mana cap of 19 made me to go with an attack as shown below with one each of melee, ranged and magic monster as explained below with Javelin Thrower being the fastest attacker with speed of 5.

Here is my lineup for this short yet awesome battle which also involved monsters of Magnor and Serpentine Spy used by opponent.

Flesh Golem
Creeping Ooze
Spirit Shaman
Javelin Thrower and
Furious Chicken

Flesh Goelm:

Low Mana cap battles can be very tricky and I didn't want to take any chance and hence, I used this healing tank of Flesh Golem at the front as it's a good attack monster with an attack of 3 and has very good life of 10 to take on all the attack opponent might use.

Creeping Ooze:

I used Creeping Ooze mainly because of it's slow ability to reduce the speed of monsters used by opponent and can also act as an backup front monster to allow the monsters to follow it to stay longer in the battle.

Mana cap was low and I couldn't afford to place a good reach monster because of low Mana and hence, this makeshift backup front monster proved ideal one for me.

Spirit Shaman:

My theme monster for this challenge and one of the widely used monsters by higher ranked players is this Spirit Shaman.

Although lesser in terms of magic attack it has, it's known for it's abilities like Stun and Divine Shield and it proved why it's highly rated by containing the ever awesome Magnor as it didn't allow it to attack at all!!! Just think what Magnor culd have done if it could attack in all the 3 rounds of this battle.

Javelin Thrower:

Only ranged attack monster in this lineup and a good one as it's fast to attack with it's speed of 5 and can pierce thru armors as well.

One of my favorite monsters from Earth splinter and most used by almost all as for as Earth Splinter is concerned.

Furious Chicken:

The last monster on my lineup is this Zero Mana cost monster to cover the back end a little bit, this was able to take that first blow from Serpentine Spy and allow others to survive one more round.

Battle:

Here I have shared the battle link for this battle of low Mana cap and this good enough lineup as explained above, could take on the 2 of the best monsters from Fire splinter in Magnor and Serpentine Spy.

Here I go with the battle details.

Below are some of the screenshots from this 3 round battle which didn't see Magnor attacking even once, all because of the tiny monster known as Spirit Shaman who kept stunning the magnor and was the hero of this battle and victorious team of monsters I used.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

Yes, winning against Magnor is not an easy task and also the opportunity monster of Serpentine Spy. But, stun on Magnor didn't allow it to attack and that made this win possible for me and Spirit Shaman, the stunner is the main reason for this win!!

If I wasn't using Spirit Shaman, I would have used a reach monster in second position, but Spirit Shaman was always my first priority in most of the battles.

Do you use the Spirit Shaman often? Why or why not?

Yes, I use it very often based on the rule sets and Mana cost available for that particular battle.

Overall, Spirit Shaman and stun monsters in particular are good to have as they can contribute a lot in the wins.

That's another awesome battle and I am sure even you will appreciate that lineup I used against the giant Magnor

Good to be on the winning side against an awesome attack of monsters and to contain them and make this win possible is always a sweet experience.

Thanks for going thru this battle and supporting my blogs every time.

Wishing you all happy battling and happy Wednesday :)
