Well, you're in for a treat. Let's began on a journey into the realm of homemade fish fry, where we celebrate golden and crispy fillets stealing the spotlight. This recipe isn't just a taste sensation; it's a delightful joyride in the kitchen.

Ingredients
Fish fillets 1kg

1/2 cup gram flour (besan)

1/2 tablespoons corn flour

1 teaspoon kasuri methi
1/2 teaspoon orange food colour
1 teaspoon cumin powder

1 teaspoon coriander crashed


Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Chat masala

Chilli flakes

Step by step preparation
Give your chosen fish fillets a good clean and a gentle pat dry. This sets the stage for a perfect coating.

Mix spices
Grind garlic, ginger, green chili, and coriander leaves into a paste first.

Mix fish with garlic paste, salt and lemon in a mixing bowl, and let it marinate for half an hour.

After half an hour, add cumin powder, coriander powder, chili flakes, chat masala, kasuri methi and orange food color to the fish.

In a mixing bowl, blend gram flour, corn flour, Gradually add water until you get a smooth, thick batter.

Mix the batter thoroughly with the fish until it coats well. This is where the magic begins


In a pan, get your oil ready for frying. The right temperature is key for that ideal golden brown finish.

Gently place the coated fish fillets into the hot oil. Fry them until they sport a gorgeous golden brown color on both sides. This step elevates the crispiness and seals in the flavors.

Drain and Serve
Once fried to perfection, lift the fish fillets from the oil and let them rest on paper towels. This helps soak up any excess oil, leaving you with a deliciously crispy texture.
