Splinterlands Monster Spotlight | Magi of the Forest

Hello everybody, hope you are doing well! If you are a free-to-play player, I highly recommended getting to Gold 3 with rented cards because opening the season rewards are just so rewarding! Don't worry if you are struggling to get to Gold, I will be consistently posting guides and I promise you that you can get to Gold too! For the record, I have about 5,000 power only and have always been a free-to-play player. If I can do it, so can you!

Anyways, coming back to the article itself. Today, I will be talking about Magi of the Forest, a 4 mana underrated vanilla magic card! Just check out its stats at level 5! (Gold League Minumum)

4 Mana, 4 magic damage, 4 health. I have never seen such a strong vanilla card before! You can use it in pretty much any match-up, and its 4 damage will do you wonders in a fight. In my 1-day Earth rented deck, I have been using this card consistently and it is boosting my win percentage by a tremendous amount!

Even at level 1, it has 2 magic damage for 4 mana, which is considered really powerful in Bronze League. Pair this up with a good tank and watch the magic happen!

This card is extremely underrated as I do not see anyone using this card at any league up to Platinum 3 as of September 14. Maybe it is still a hidden gem!

One thing I have to say, however, is that this card has no buff abilities, which may shun people away. Nevertheless, its stats definitely makes up for its lack of buff abilities, and also, there are quite a number of strong buffers in the Earth deck already (Brownie, Sporcerer, Swamp Thing, Epona ... I will be making highlights of those in the near future!).

Oh, and did I also mention that this card is Anti Mylor Crawling? In this match-up, my opponent used Mylor Crawling as his summoner, but because I noticed his past matchups, I predicted that he was going to use that summoner so I decided not to play any Melee attackers! Watch how the Magi of the Forest wrecked my opponent; he didn't even stand a chance even with a pretty legit deck.
