When Armour Meets Magic What Do You Play

The Challenge this week is to devise a strategy that plays perfectly with an extra two Armour for every team member, So what to do, Totally ignore the rule, well not quite, you see I recently got the extra copy of usut in my latest rewards chest. This was the one I needed to bring him up to level three where he gets heal, add that to bloodlust, flying and oppression and this is one powerful monster. So you know that feeling you get when you level up a card or you just buy or rent one, Yeah you just gotta play it.

Well, this was the time. I tucked him in the backline hoping that would give a round or two for a kill enough to trigger bloodlust. In the front tank spot I dropped another favourite of mine, Djinn Murat to take advantage of his magic reflection and the fact that my summoner has resurrect. So he comes back with six armour, you know the special kind that catches magic.

Did This Work Out For Me

Only one part of the plan worked out. There is always an opponent to deal with and they had a good strategy in place. Powerful summoner taking his team armour and keeping it in place, to handle the magic attacks because that was all we could play, it is a great choice of a summoner that turns regular armour into void armour, and two triage monsters to heal their backline, this is to counter the scattershot part of the rules. So there's that to cope with.

I did counter the Armoured Up rule with my Summoner, as he does a minus-two armour debuff to the opponent's team, so there's that.

The Big Battle Plan

Staying alive long enough for my monsters to accumulate unstoppable power.

I like this kind of power when it works, you know, the kind of Quora Power. I had the life sapper doing his life leech and Usut getting his bloodlust to accomplish this. but hey if only one monster gets going that's enough for a win.

The scattershot was not kind to me and the Life Sapper went down fast, taking up the resurrect only to fall again just as fast. Meanwhile, the enemy is triaging and repairing armour faster than I can hit him, good job for my magic reflection, an extra monster with amplify would have been perfect.

Then Usut gets his first kill and bloodlust kicks in and all of a sudden I am unstoppable, and as they say the rest is history, links below to watch the battle, and select the one for your device.

Keep playing and winning those chests, get your soulbound cards up to some good levels and they will help you win battles even if your team is not that great, Usut at level three is fantastic even without a kill, but the bloodlust is a very powerfully ability and can turn a match. But you have to play to get those cards you can buy them off the market or in packs.
