Low Mana Melee - Bring in the Brownie to Power Up Your Team

This is one of my favorite line ups when I see the Up close and personal rule set come up, It comes with explosive weaponry make things a bit more interesting so I wanted to factor in some extra speed being a low mana match 17 is considered low mana these day's so the hero of the battle I want to highlight is Brownie

Speed - Power - Healing

If you have been playing #splinterlands for any time you will know that speed is a big factor in the the game, if you can strike first and make a quick kill before the opponent has a chance to fire back you are in a good spot overall, so if you can get a speed buff go ahead and add it in, Brownie is an older epic card that does just this, he also has inspire, this adds plus one to melee damage.

This was a Up close and personal and explosive weaponry combo battle so melee is the only attack, another great monster to add to the mix is orc sergeant he gets reach and also inspire, I don't have him at the top level for the league I play in, (need another 120 bsx) this is on my short list to level him up as he get another plus one to melee making this strategy even more deadly.

Side Note - The inspire buff will stack, I get plus 2 melee to all friendly's

The next piece to this puzzle is the tank monster, I wanted heal as this make for a good tank in lower mana battles, best choice was the Pelacor Mercenary this guy has flying so a miss from the enemy is possible, this stacks with the speed buff from the brownie

Having one Mana point left over I dropped the Creeping Oze into the mix, If I want extra speed on my team a good option is to slow down every monster on the opponents team, finally with the extra slots available add the furious chicken in as a meat shield to take a hit in-case of a sneak attack.

Facing the Forgotten One

My opponent decided to go with a power house of a tank in the shape of the Forgotten One his immunity stops me from dropping slow on him, his pierce will make mincemeat of my shields, but the thing that worried me the most was the retaliate as if this activated I am a goner, great choice for a tank (wish I had a copy of this powerhouse) Lucky for me it didn't happen and those are the chances you take.

Battle Details

So I have this fantastic melee buff and super fast speed, what happens? with my first shot all I hit was his shields and nothing of his 11 life points, but that's why I have the sergeant in second spot with his reach, puts in a nice gut shot ready for round two where another one two combo takes him out and good night.

He had the zenith Monk in second spot doing nothing and taking all the blast damage

Side Note - In low mana battle make sure every monster attacks in each round.
