How Removing Enemy De-buff Monsters Helps You To Win

Common mistake for the unprotected ruleset

I made this mistake and it is probably a common one, I am building my team and got a bit of tunnel vision when selecting my monsters. I am going for a magic team, yeah I pick Queen Mycelia who has Protect, but that is useless in this ruleset. Enough about that, lets move on.

It is also a little league so only 4 mana or less and I am up against a very strong opponent, all with poison ability and an Elvin Mystic who has the silencing ability thus taking away my magic attack bonus. My one non-magic monster has sneak and scavenger and that was my winner.

Monster Choices

With a 29 Mana cap but that does not mean much in the Little League rules, I wanted to pick magic as I can use Dr Blight and Djinn Biljka both have camouflage so they will be safe from any sneakers, I think to use Iza the Fanged was the hope that she can pick up enough health point so that when she gets to the front, she can hold out long enough so the two behind her can do enough damage to win the battle.

Let's talk a bit about my opponent's lineup, First up Waka Spiritblade is a $230 summoner, plus a good amount of melee and magic damage, plus a scavenger with backfire. but the biggest bonus he used was the silence, this reduced my magic attacks by one.

Keep an eye on this guy and watch how the battle changes course in round three after he gets taken on the map.

Battle Plan

Simple plan with no fancy bits, Go magic heavy and pick all your strongest monsters, notice most of mine are legendary, up front I put my Xenith Monk hoping with 7 health and heal he should make it a couple of rounds at least. Nope Only Made One

The good news is that by round two Iza the Fanged hits the Elven Mystic with a final death blow and boom my magic attack is back on, two monsters with 3 magic attack and 2 monsters with 2 magic attacks

I am getting stung with poison on nearly every hit, but it's not fast enough as I am making one-shot kills and also spitting some poison of my own from Doctor Blight

Learning

Even with making a blunder early on. By having a protective monster in the team. I still managed to come out as a winner against a much stronger opponent, Powerful cards like Doctor Blight and Djinn Biljka are a must-have if you want to be competitive in the silver and gold levels.

Scavenge is a great ability to hopefully build a first-position buffer of damage so that it can hold the place while the monsters behind it do the damage. That is exactly what happened.

However, my biggest takeaway was the sneaker ability, this killed the monster that was debuffing my magic attack and helped to win this battle. Always add a sneaker You never know when they will save the day.
