Really a problem? Or am I just sour? Bronze Rewards

I missed the memo, but as I have since discovered, it seems there have been some changes to Bronze level rewards, from what I understand with the intention to combat bots. Sadly, opening the last season rewards was pretty underwhelming to say the least...

I am one (maybe of many) players who struggle with power, and started the game relatively late, maybe around 3 months ago. I put a comparatively small amount of money in the game to get myself started, maybe around 250USD (although definitely more than some people can put in to a game).

I love the game, I love the cards and I loved the play to earn concept although I am honestly not looking to make huge amounts of money here, however I fear the changes in the Bronze level rewards, mean that the newer players who don't have 2000 USD to invest are left in a position where the game has become pay to play. If we wish to advance in levels to get a fair chance at receiving decent rewards, we have no choice but to rent cards over the end of season period when the rent prices are astronomical thereby spending more DEC which we have very little chance of ever earning back. The alternative is to be stuck in Bronze level eternally or spend more on the game in one way or another whther buying cards or continuing to rent. The gap between players in Bronze levels and everyone else is surely just going to grow exponentially and I can't see, other than the benefit of having a bunch of low level players feeding in to a system they can't cash out from, how this can possibly benefit the actual game longterm.

One thing for me that set splinterlands apart from a number of other play to earn games, is that the team seem to really care about the game itself, not just as an investment but as a game. Now similar barriers are appearing in terms of the amount of money you need in order to "earn" and changes in rewards leave me feeling more than a little disappointed.

Surely there must be alternative ways of dealing with bots that don't harm humans in lower levels and give a fighting chance for people to progress without having a huge amount of disposable cash? Of course those that invest more get more out of the game, and we see this in terms of increased number of chests and airdrop etc., but I would love to see a solution that doesn't penalise humans in any level of the game, as the bots must be present in other levels of the game also.

I'd love to hear others' thoughts on this, and any other solutions people could think up. Meanwhile, I'll be begging and borrowing cards where I can with the hope that a game changing card appears at some point in a chest and I can still continue enjoying the game.
