Living Forever is a big NO for me

Just to awaken memories, I had to put Jay Z's song, "Young Forever," to come to play as I wrote this article. The song, back then, gave me a really good vibe that got my thoughts very far as to being able to live and be young forever. I imagined a lot of things as to how I would live life without considering the greatest hunt down on human life on earth, DEATH.

Imagine living and not giving the existence of death a thought because it can't happen to you, no matter what you do. One could decide to be a superhero to fight for people because he's immune to death. I've seen a lot of movies in this category, and it's all fun how they face death and still come out untouched.

There are so many goodies attached to living forever, a whole lot of them that I can't start to mention but also, the disadvantages are almost as equal to the advantages.

Even when I was vibing to Jay Z's song, along the line, I saw that though living forever seems good and ear-tickling, it has downsides too. Just imagining living to watch everyone you know die before your eyes, life will be meaningless because actually, it's death and its fear that make life fun. Don't you agree with me?

*One of the major reasons we are pushing hard, working to achieve all aims is to make it happen ON TIME,

• to build a family before time runs out,
• to take care of parents before they leave us,
• to train children before our time on earth expires.

If there's no death, I bet we wouldn't be rushing life the way it is... after all, there's enough time... and endless time.
What kind of life would it be if we knew there were no targets in life? It's because we have limited time that makes us set goals. That LIMITED TIME is our TICKING TIME on earth.

No way! I don't want to live forever, even if I get the cheat to do that. I would prefer to live long and not forever. Imagine a situation whereby I see my children live and die before me. It's going to be a series of pain. Okay, even if they leave their offspring behind, I'm still going to see them leave the earth before me. Living will be totally meaningless to me.

At first, knowing that I'm destined to live forever, I'll enjoy doing all the fun things in life, but in the long run, everything will become tiring, and I would start begging for death even when I'm sound and healthy. It's not just the body that matters; the mind goes a long way to surviving our existence.

Come to think of it, how would people see me? I mean, when I get very old and still living? Over here in my country, a majority of us have the habit of running away from old people, not because there's hatred but because of the workload that comes with it. Imagine if I am very old and need somewhat help to keep pushing, and there's no family member anymore to keep pushing, life will become tiring.

Living forever is a big NO for me.
