From what I've noticed in the current era of the music world, it's not just about being good at music; there are a lot of other factors involved, such as publicity and marketing, and that's where the use of social media comes in.

One such example is a songwriter in my country named Portable. Being honest, he's not the real deal when it comes to singing, although his lyrics are okay according to people who understand one of Nigeria's native languages, Yoruba, because that's what he often uses in his music. Currently, due to how he has mastered the use of social media, he's one of the most talked-about musicians in Nigeria, and this led him to feature Skepta, an American artist. Hey, this song has topped charts.

I only listened to the song because I wanted to see how things were done in the video and the lyrics, and I wouldn't say it is bad; no, it's a fine song and very funny because Skepta was heard and seen speaking Pidgin English and the Yoruba native language. This song really elevated Portable's status because it's not easy to collaborate with a well-known/famous American artist.

The next song I've been dancing to currently is "BIG BIG THINGS" by Young John. I love this song because of the beat and how it gets someone into dancing whenever it's played. It's a party song that makes someone want to do big things. Although the song is centered on women, especially those who are well-endowed, it's a good song to vibe with without considering the not-so-interesting lyrics.

"CAST" by Sballipopi and Odumodublvck is currently a big trend because of the 'boyz vibe' attached to it.

What do I mean by 'boyz vibe'? It's a party song and more like an anthem for big boys. The song has funny lyrics that people vibe with whenever it's played, especially the "E dn cast!" part. The video is very raw with naked ladies, and I wasn't surprised when I watched it some weeks ago because the songwriters are totally weird in the way they do their things.

Thanks.
