Battle Mage Secrets: Target Practice [EN - ESP]
Hello again. It's been a long wait and a long holiday that I've taken from posting on Peakd. But it's time to get back to work and what better time to do it than a new edition of the Battle Mage Secrets series. This week we're going to look at the Target Practice battle condition and we're going to look at it with a modest but really effective team for this condition. Hola de nuevo. Ha sido una larga espera y unas largas vacaciones que me he tomado de la publicación en Peakd. Pero ha llegado el momento de volver a la actividad y qué mejor ocasión para hacerlo que una nueva edición de la serie Battle Mage Secrets. Esta semana toca analizar la condición de batalla Target Practice y la vamos a analizar con un equipo modesto pero realmente efectivo para esta condición. ¿Me acompañas en mi regreso a las publicaciones? This week's condition gives a special boost to magic and ranged attacks. Target Practice grants the Snipe ability to all cards that have either of these two attack types. As you know, the Snipe ability causes the card with the Snipe ability to direct its attacks at second-line targets that have either magic or ranged attacks. In other words, we're going to have a battle condition that's going to both empower and punish these two attack types. It makes for a very curious scenario to analyse, to say the least.
La condición de esta semana potencia de manera especial los ataques mágicos y a distancia. Y es que Target Practice otorga la habilidad Snipe a todas las cartas que tengan alguno de estos dos tipos de ataque. Como bien sabes, la habilidad Snipe provoca que la carta que cuente con ella dirige sus ataques a objetivos de la segunda línea que tengan ataque mágico o a distancia. Es decir, vamos a tener una condición de batalla que va a potenciar y castigar a la vez a estos dos tipos de ataque. Cuanto menos provoca un escenario muy curioso de analizar.
As a summoner I'm going to use one that boosts the magic attack to all the cards I use in the lineup. As you might have guessed, I'm talking about Obsidian and its extra point to the magic attack.
Como invocadora voy a utilizar una que potencia el ataque mágico a todas las cartas que utilice en la alineación. Como habrás supuesto, hablo de Obsidian y su punto extra al ataque mágico.
As a tank and taking into account that the mana available in the chosen battle is limited, I will place Regal Peryton looking to take advantage of his flying ability and the possibility that he can dodge some of my opponents' attacks in this complex battle.
Como tanque y teniendo en cuenta que el maná disponible en la batalla elegida es limitado voy a colocar a Regal Peryton buscando aprovechar su habilidad de vuelo y la posibilidad de que pueda esquivar algun que otro ataque de mis rivales en esta compleja batalla.
In second position I'm going with a risky bet: Failed Summoner. The logic of placing it in the centre of the line-up is to disperse any opposing attack and to use its ability to damage those cards with magic attacks that dare to target this card.
En la segunda posición voy con una apuesta arriesgada: Failed Summoner. La lógica de colocar en el centro de la alineación es dispersar algún ataque rival y que haga uso de su habilidad dañando a aquellas cartas con ataque mágico que se atrevan a tener como objetivo a esta carta.
And in third position and completing my line-up I place a card that has an ability that will give me the victory: Camouflage. I'm talking about Djinn Biljka who also has magic attack and won't receive attacks until he reaches the first position.
Y en tercera posición y completando mi alineación coloco a una carta que tiene una habilidad que me va a dar la victoria: Camouflage. Hablo de Djinn Biljka que también cuenta con ataque mágico y no recibirá ataques hasta que llegue a la primera posición.

The battle measures me against a team that will use a fire deck and three cards in the second line with a total of five melee attack points. In other words, my opponent decides not to take advantage of the Target Practice battle condition and this is something that will benefit me in the development of the fight and I'll be able to take advantage of my magic attack power to gradually eliminate their cards and add an interesting victory to my personal account.
La batalla me mide a un equipo que utilizará mazo de fuego y tres cartas en segunda línea con un total de cinco puntos de ataque cuerpo a cuerpo. Es decir, mi rival decide no aprovechar la condición de batalla Target Practice y esto es algo que me va a beneficiar en el desarrollo del combate. Voy a poder aprovechar mi poder de ataque mágico para ir eliminando poco a poco sus cartas y poder sumar una interesante victoria para mi cuenta personal.
Analysis done, have we learned anything from the use and effects of Target Practice? For starters, one of the first lessons you learn from defeats in the @splinterlands universe is to make the most of the changing battle conditions. If there's an extra battle condition like Snipe, you have to adjust your line-up and act accordingly. My opponent has chosen to ignore the presence of this battle condition and its effect and I've managed to take advantage of it A good strategy playing with the current that gives me a good win.
Análisis realizado, ¿hemos aprendido algo del uso y efectos de Target Practice? Para empezar, una de las primeras lecciones que aprendes a base de derrotas en el universo @splinterlands es que hay que aprovechar al máximo las cambiantes condiciones de batalla. Si hay una condición de batalla que aporta un extra como Snipe hay que adecuar la alineación y actuar en consecuencia. Mi rival ha decido ignorar la presencia de esta condición de batalla y su efecto y yo he conseguido sacarle partido a ello. Una buena estrategia jugando a favor de corriente que me proporciona una buena victoria.
