Card Analysis #15: Crystal Werewolf [EN - ESP]

wolf cover.png

Hello again, for another week, to the series analysing cards in the @splinterlands universe. My contribution to this week's Social Media Challenge is the analysis of a card that is already a veteran in the game and belongs to the life deck. This week is Crystal Werewolf, a card that is a good antidote to those Magic-heavy decks we encounter on the battlefield more often than we'd like. Let's get to it with this new review. Let's get started.
Comenzamos.

Crystal Werewolf is a rare card that has very specific playability and fits into almost any available summoning mana situation. And with a cost of only 3 points and a special ability like Silence at its initial level, it will provide us with multiple solutions for our strategies It has a melee attack point and cannot attack from the second line. But this is not a problem as the main idea of using Crystal Werewolf is to reduce the magic attack of all cards in the opponent's line-up.
This is not a card that gains a lot of power as it evolves. In fact, it's only going to add one point of attack, two points of speed and three points of vitality It doesn't improve too much, but it does so in a useful way, since what we need from Crystal Werewolf is that it can last as long as possible on the battlefield. As for her special abilities, in addition to Silence at level 1, she will gain Thorns at level 5 and will also punish melee attack cards at that level of evolution.

As explained in the previous section, Crystal Werewolf does not ostensibly improve his offensive abilities He will not improve his melee attack by more than one point, nor does he gain any special offensive cutting abilities. But that's not what we need from this card either. It is an eminently defensive card and especially useful for magic attack, so improving its vitality and gaining another defensive ability like Thorns are two aspects that fit perfectly with the playability of the card analysed this week.
This card, unlike the previous reviews, belongs to the Reward edition so we can access it in both the purchase and rental market. Its price at the time of this review is 0.65 dollars for purchase and 0.10 dec for daily and seasonal rental.

Three cards with melee attack and three cards with magic attack are placed on the battlefield by my opponent this week. I've fallen into the trap that I place with a really powerful tank and with Crystal Werewolf on his back reducing his magic attack. On this occasion the previous scouting and the strategy raised according to it are vital to give me an interesting victory in the Silver league in which I have decided to stay until I can improve my decks to gold level.

LINK TO THE BATTLE

CardExplanation
Franz RuffmaneSoulbound Summoner with the mission to be able to use a Gladius card in my lineup. Captain Katie will be the chosen one and part of a strategy with Venari Marksrat and Iziar in the middle of my line-up.
Drybone BarbarianLevel 5 for a tank that hits really hard with five melee attack points and also has the ability to return incoming attacks. One of the most interesting tanks in the current state of the game.
Crystal WerewolfThe star.
IziarA legendary card with two magic attack points that also centralises all opposing attacks and reduces incoming magic damage. Iziar's presence gives me a good advantage for the rest of the line-up to especially damage opposing cards.
Venari MarksratIf you see Venari Marksrat in the lineup, you already know the goal: have it die and its two adjacent cards benefit from its Martyr ability. There's no more.
Captain KatieCaptain Katie has three magic attack points and Snipe ability. All those cards hidden in the middel of the rival's line-up will suffre his fury.
Djinn RenovaDjinn Renova is that card that we all have and that, even so, we all use and we almost always get great performance from it. Very useful letter totally underrated.

Another interesting letter analyzed. Of course, we cannot lose sight of the fact that the gameplay of Crystal Werewolf means that it is not useful in all conditions. It will shine especially when the opponent has a strategy based on magic attack. Instead, having only three points of summon cost means that we can use it in any situation and available restriction of summon mana. Overall, I give it a grade of 6 out of 10. That if, in the ideal conditions analyzed and mentioned, it receives a grade of 7.5 out of 10. I hope you found this review useful and I'll see you next week for review number 16 in the series. Enjoy the week!
Otra interesante carta analizada.
