Destroying the combo Kron + Llama [EN - ES]

One of the most powerful combinations you can find in a Splinterlands battle is the combo of Kron the Undying and Scarred Llama Mage as a summoner. The combination of the skills of both form an almost immortal combination. And I mean almost, because under certain conditions and with clear concepts of what we need to overcome this combination, it is possible to defeat them. And, as I'm going to show you in a battle, it's even very easy. Let's go with this week's article beating Scarred Llama and Kron the Undying.

Una de las combinaciones más poderosas que puedes encontrar en una batalla de Splinterlands es el combo de Kron el Inmortal y la Maga Llama Asustada como invocador. La combinación de las habilidades de ambos forman una combinación casi inmortal. Y digo casi, porque bajo ciertas condiciones y con conceptos claros de lo que necesitamos para superar esta combinación, es posible derrotarlos. Y, como os voy a mostrar en una batalla, es incluso muy fácil. Vamos con el artículo de esta semana venciendo a Scarred Llama y Kron the Undying.

Scarred Llama is a legendary summoner from the Earth Deck. He belongs to the Untamed edition and is one of the stars of Splinterlands. Who plays and hasn't heard of, or suffered from, this friendly Llama? I certainly have on several occasions. His abilities, and why he is such a powerful summoner, are as follows:
  • Adds 2 life to all cards in your line-up.
  • Adds the ability "Last Stand" to all creatures.
  • Remove all penalties from the first monster in the lineup at the start of each round.

Scarred Llama es un invocador legendario del mazo de tierra. Pertenece a la edición Untamed y es una de las estrellas de Splinterlands. ¿Quién juega y no ha oído hablar, o ha sufrido, a esta simpática Llama? Yo desde luego que la he sufrido en varias ocasiones. Sus habilidades, y por lo que es un invocador tan poderoso, son las siguientes:

  • Añade 2 puntos de vida a todas las cartas de su alineación
  • Añade la habilidad "Last Stand" a todas las criaturas
  • Elimina todas las penalizaciones al primer monstruo de la alineación al inicio de cada ronda.

Kron is the other piece of the pair. In addition to the three abilities Scarred Llama brings, Kron adds the ability "Heal" which replenishes a portion of this card's health at the end of each turn. So, when only Kron is left on the battlefield, we'll need our team to do no less than seven points of damage per round in order to take down this dangerous couple.

Kron es la otra pieza de la pareja. Añadidas a las tres habilidades que aporta Scarred Llama, Kron le suma la habilidad "Heal" que repone una parte de la salud de esta carta al finalizar cada turno. Así las cosas, cuando solo quede sobre el campo de batalla Kron vamos a necesitar que nuestro equipo haga no menos de siete puntos de daño por ronda para poder doblegar a esta peligrosa pareja.

After taking a look at my opponent's last five games it was pretty clear to me that I was going to have to face Llama + Kron. With this more or less clear I had to put together a team that could do the now famous seven points of damage per round. What I didn't expect was to find the mighty Grund in the battle as well. 27 points of mana and my water deck to beat this opponent. Time to rack my brains thinking about my best options.

Tras darle un vistazo a las últimas cinco partidas de mi rival tenía bastante claro que me iba a tener que enfrentar a Llama + Kron. Teniendo esto más o menos claro debía formar un equipo que pudiera hacer los ya famosos siete puntos de daño por ronda. Lo que no esperaba era también encontrarme al poderoso Grund también en la batalla. 27 puntos de mana y mi mazo de agua para batir a este rival. Turno de romperse la cabeza pensando mis mejores opciones.

Two legendary cards and a common card with a very good attack were going to be my bet for this tricky match. As a tank we formed up with Legionnaire Alvar who has a secret weapon in these cases. His "Giant Killer" ability that causes double damage to opponents with a summoning cost of ten points or more was going to be decisive. Behind him would come Djinn Oshannus and, to complete my line-up, Deeplurker and his three attack points. Not only do I exceed seven points of damage per round, but thanks to Alvar's ability I put a team on the battlefield that can deal up to eleven points of damage per round. The die is cast and, barring a surprise, in my favour.

Dos cartas legendarias y una carta común con un muy buen ataque iban a ser mi apuesta para este complicado combate. Como tanque formamos con Legionnaire Alvar que tiene un arma secreta en estos casos. Y es su habilidad "Giant Killer" que causa doble daño a rivales con coste de invocación de diez puntos o más iban a ser determinantes. Por detrás de él vendría Djinn Oshannus y, para completar mi alineación, Deeplurker y sus tres puntos de ataque. No solo supero los siete puntos de daño por ronda sino que gracias a la habilidad de Alvar pongo sobre el campo de batalla un equipo que puede causar hasta once puntos de daño por ronda. La suerte esta echada y, salvo sorpresa, a mi favor.

Legionnaire Alvar's ability and the five points of damage provided by Djinn Oshannus and Deeplurker from the second line meant that what is always a challenge, beating the Scarred Llamma + Kron The Undying combination was a very calm battle in which we only needed two rounds to overcome the challenge and easily defeat this powerful combo.

La habilidad de Legionnaire Alvar y los cinco puntos de daño que aportan, desde segunda línea, Djinn Oshannus y Deeplurker han provocado que lo que siempre es un reto, ganar a la combinación Scarred Llamma + Kron The Undying haya sido una batalla de los más tranquila en la que nos han bastado dos rondas para superar el reto y doblegar fácilmente este poderoso combo.

One of the great things about Splinterlands and one of the main reasons why I love the game is that there is no unbeatable strategy. There are very powerful combinations and strategies that are very difficult to beat, however, there is nothing unbeatable in this game. Seeing kron the Undying and Scarred Llama face off against each other is a cold sweat, however, if you know the game and the abilities of all the cards you have at your fingertips it can be relatively easy to beat this powerful and mainstream combination. In the battle I bring you today you can see this first hand. It's a comfortable and easy win against arguably the most explosive pair in the game.

Una de las grandezas de Splinterlands y una de las razones principales por la que es un juego que me apasiona es que no hay una estrategia invencible. Hay combinaciones y estrategias muy poderosas y que son muy complicadas de vencer, sin embargo, no hay nada invencible en este juego. Ver enfrente a kron the Undying y a Scarred Llama provoca sudores fríos, sin embargo, si conoces el juego y las habilidades de todas las cartas que tienes a tu alcance puede ser hasta relativamente fácil doblegar a esta poderosa y mainstream combinación. Wow! @.@ That Giant Killer ability completely wrecks Llama Kron! Wait, and Alvar's a neutral monster, too?! I gotta get me outta the lowbie leagues so I can use some of these hard counters :P

Sin duda la combinación de LLama + Kron daba mucho miedo, pero con la habilidad de Giant Killer eso pondrá fin a ese miedo, excelente estrategia.

Otra estrategia que me funciona de maravilla (con muerte) es añadir a Dhampir Stalker + Gargoya Devil, ambas con Deathblow, en uno o dos turnos ya dejan al Kron K.O. Pruebala, funciona desde Plata hacia arriba.
