Share your Battle: Djinn Apprentice [EN - ES]
Tough edition of the share your battle challenge this week. The fire deck is possibly the one I've played the least and the one that gives me the worst results, which is a big reason why it's my most hated deck. Despite this, I have made the effort to analyse and try to win a battle with Djinn Apprentice (spoiler: it ends badly). A rare card from that deck with fire and magic attack. New week, new challenge, new analysis of a card in Splinterlands. Let's get started.

A pesar de ello he hecho el esfuerzo de analizar e intentar ganar una batalla con Djinn Apprentice (spoiler: acaba mal). Una carta rara de dicho mazo de fuego y con ataque mágico. Nueva semana, nuevo reto, nuevo análisis de una carta en Splinterlands. Empezamos.
DJINN APPRENTICE
THE CARD
This week we look at Djinn Apprentice. A rare card from the fire deck and one that has a magic attack The fire deck is not a deck that is known for its magic playability, so Djinn Apprentice is not one of the most used cards in the deck. Not a single summoner in this deck boosts the magic attack. Djinn Apprentice has two points of attack and speed and four life, plus a summoning cost of five mana points.
Esta semana analizamos a Djinn Apprentice. Una carta rara del mazo de fuego y que cuenta con ataque mágico. No es el mazo de fuego un mazo que destaque por su jugabilidad con la magia, por lo que Djinn Apprentice no es una de las cartas más usadas de dicho mazo. Ni un solo invocador de este mazo potencia el ataque mágico. Dos puntos de ataque y velocidad y cuatro de vida cuenta Djinn Apprentice además de contar con un coste de invocación de cinco puntos de maná.
It is difficult to find a use for this card as it is framed in the fire deck. For five points of mana there are much more versatile options like Giant Roc, which has Flying and Reach as special abilities, or Tenyii Striker, a card we already analysed in the past, which has Sneak. Even so, Djinn Apprentice can be a good option with Pyre as a summoner, giving an extra point of speed and against opponents who have a tank with a lot of shield. His magic attack will damage this tank while ignoring the shield.
Es difícil encontrar uso a esta carta estando como está encuadrada en el mazo de fuego. Por cinco puntos de maná hay opciones mucho más versátiles como Giant Roc que tiene como habilidades especiales Flying y Reach o Tenyii Striker, carta que ya analizamos en su momento, que tiene Sneak. Aün así, Djinn Apprentice puede ser una buena opción con Pyre como invocador dándo un punto más de velocidad y ante rivales que cuenten con un tanque con mucho escudo. Su ataque mágico dañará a este tanque ignorando dicho escudo.
DJINN APPRENTICE STATS
Djinn Apprentice's evolution is characterised by doubling its hit points and speed while its health barely improves by one point from level 1 to level 8. In terms of special abilities, this Djinn is not lucky. He only gets the Deathblow ability which doubles his damage if he is the last living card in the opponent's line-up. Very useful against the combo of Scarred Llama and Kron the Undying.
La evolución de Djinn Apprentice se caracteriza por duplicar tanque sus puntos de ataque como su velocidad mientras que su vida apenas mejora un punto desde el nivel 1 hasta el 8. En cuanto a habilidades especiales este Djinn no es afortunado. Tan solo obtendrá la habilidad Deathblow cuyo aporte es doblar el daño si quien lo recibe es la última carta con vida en la alineación rival. Muy útil ante ese combo formado por Scarred Llama y Kron the Undying.
The ultimate proof of Djinn Apprentice's limited usefulness is its price in the Splinterlands market. A mere 0.10 dollars is its price at level 1 and 0.10 dec/day, the minimum possible, on the rental market. Very low prices for a rare card that is difficult to fit into the fire deck.
La prueba definitiva de la escasa utilidad de Djinn Apprentice es su precio en el mercado de Splinterlands. Apenas 0.10 dólares es su precio a nivel 1 y 0.10 dec/día, el mínimo posible, en el mercado de alquiler. Precios bajísimos para una carta rara que tiene difícil encuadre en el mazo de fuego.

THE BATTLE
Very tough battle against @sfdasf. My unexplored deck against his water deck. I tried to take advantage of the fact that it was a low mana battle, just 18 points, to place a good tank and two cards behind it that do four points of damage in total I was relying on my opponent to place cards with low mana and low damage. A scenario in which Cerberus' self-healing could be decisive. However, my opponent surprised me with only two cards with a lot of attack for which Cerberus was no match and, consequently, my strategy.
Muy complicada batalla contra @sfdasf. Mi inexplorado mazo de contra su mazo de agua. Intenté aprovechar que era una batalla con poco maná, apenas 18 puntos, para colocar un buen tanque y dos cartas por detrás que hacen cuatro puntos de daño en total. Confiaba en qué mi rival pusiera cartas con poco maná y poco daño. Un escenario en el que la autocuración de Cerberus podría ser determinante. Sin embargo, mi rival me sorprendió con solo dos cartas con mucho ataque para las que Cerberus no fue rival y, por consiguiente, mi estrategia.

Tough defeat. At no point did I have a chance of winning with a strategy that was clearly the wrong one against an opponent who used two cards with a lot of offensive power and which I couldn't neutralise. Djinn Apprentice had little impact in a battle that was quickly resolved. Despite his magic attack bypassing the opponent's armour, the low damage done by his line-up mates made his work insufficient.
Dura derrota. En ningún momento tuve opciones de victoria con una estrategia que, claramente, fue la equivocada ante un rival que utilizó dos cartas con mucho poder ofensivo y a las que no pude neutralizar. Djinn Apprentice apenas tuvo impacto en una batalla que se resolvió rápido. A pesar de su ataque mágico evitando la armadura del rival, el poco daño realizado por sus compañeros de alineación hizo insuficiente su trabajo.
CONCLUSIONS
Seeing Djinn Apprentice with its magic attack in a deck that doesn't power up that attack makes its playability sparse and complicated. Well, it looks like this Djinn is in the wrong deck because it's a card that, with the same stats, would be much more useful in land and water decks, two decks that do boost Magic Attack cards. With these drawbacks, the use of Djinn Apprentice is a little less than residual in this deck. We give the card reviewed in this week's share your battle challenge a miss.
Ver a Djinn Apprentice con su ataque mágico en un mazo que no potencia dicho ataque hace que su jugabilidad sea escasa y complicada. Bien parece que este Djinn se ha equivocado de mazo. Y es que es una carta que, con sus mismas estadísticas, sería mucho más útil en los mazos de tierra y agua, dos mazos que si potencian las cartas con ataque mágico. Con estos inconvenientes el uso de Djinn Apprentice es poco menos que residual en este mazo. Le damos un insuficiente a la carta analizada esta semana en el reto share your battle.
