Good morning, or afternoon, dear friends of my little space on Peakd. Your little corner to talk about Splinterlands every week, where I bring you a little analysis each week for the Social Media Challenge. This week, I'm feeling nostalgic again and bringing you a review of a card from the Chaos Legion edition that I've evolved to level 4, the level at which it gains a special ability that is crucial to my strategy with it. I'm talking specifically about the Angelic Mandarin card, and the special ability is Triage. If you want to know why it's key at this level, I'll explain it later, and you'll have to keep reading to discover my strategy with this veteran card in the game. So, for another week, let's get started with a new analysis that I hope you'll find useful and interesting for your own strategies. Here we go.

Tú pequeño rinconcito para hablar de splinterlands cada semana y en el que te traigo un pequeño análisis cada semana con motivo del Social Media Challenge. Esta semana vuelvo a ser nostálgico y te traigo el estudio de una carta de la edición Chaos Legion y que tengo evolucionada a nivel 4, nivel en el que consigue una habilidad especial que es determinante en mi estrategia con ella. Te hablo, en concreto, de la carta Angelic Mandarin y la habilidad especial es Triage aunque, si quieres saber el motivo por el que es clave a este nivel, te lo explicaré más adelante y tendrás que seguir leyendo para descubrir mi estrategia con esta carta ya veterana en el juego. Así que, una semana más, vamos con un nuevo análisis que, espero, te resulte útil y de interés para tus propias estrategias. Vamos allá.

And who is this little card that has been with us for a long time as part of the Chaos Legion edition? If you look at the image below, you might think it's a frog wearing an elegant dress, but if you look closely, you'll see that it's a mischievous little fish. Mandarin fish inhabit warm tropical waters and live in peace and harmony with the other aquatic creatures with whom they share their habitat. As you may have guessed from their first special ability, they have healing properties, and if they see a damaged creature, they will approach it and look into its soul through its eyes. If they see a pure and kind soul, they will give it their powerful healing ability to heal it.

Y quién es esta pequeña carta que ya lleva mucho tiempo entre nosotros al ser edición Chaos Legion. Si miras la imagen, algo más abajo la encontrarás, podrías pensar que es una rana con un vestido elegante pero, si te fijas con atención, verás que es un travieso pececito. Los mandarinfish habitan las cálidas aguas tropicales y viven en paz y armonia con el resto de seres acuáticos con los que comparten habitat. Como ya habrás adivinado por su primera habilidad especial tienen propiedades curativas y si aprecian una criatura dañada se acercarán a ella y mirarán su alma a través de sus ojos. Si ven un alma pura y bondadosa le regalarán su poderosa capacidad de curación para sanarlas.

Let's now analyze the card itself. Its basic abilities, special abilities, and evolution through the 8 levels it has as a rare card. As for its basic abilities, at level 1, and in exchange for three summoning mana points, we will place a card on the battlefield with one ranged attack point, two speed points, and five vitality points without any special abilities. Its evolution will provide it with an improvement of one ranged attack point, two vitality points, and two speed points. As for its special abilities, it will gain two throughout its upgrades. The first of these, which you can see how it works in the example battle below, will be Triage and its healing contribution at level 4. The second, gained at the last upgrade level, will be Silence. This is very useful for minimizing the magical power of our opponents in combat.

Vamos ahora con el análisis de la carta en sí. Sus habilidades básicas, sus habilidades especiales y su evolución a través de los 8 niveles que tiene al ser una carta rara. En cuanto a sus habilidades básicas, a nivel 1, y a cambio de tres puntos de maná de invocación vamos a poner en el campo de batalla una carta con un punto de ataque a distancia, dos de velocidad y cinco de vitalidad sin aporte de habilidades especiales. Su evolución le va a proporcionar una mejora de un punto de ataque a distancia, dos de vitalidad y también dos en velocidad. En cuanto a sus habilidades especiales va a obtener dos a lo largo de sus mejoras. Now, as usual, let's move on to the battle where you'll be able to see Angelic Mandarin in action after studying its basic characteristics. This will be a battle that pits me against an earth deck with a summoning mana limit of 26 points. In addition, the battle conditions will include High Five, Fire & Regret, and, finally, Going the Distance, which will need to be taken into account. The final limitation is that all decks except fire and death decks will be available. With that explained and taken into account, let's see how the battle unfolds.

Vamos ahora, como es habitual, con la batalla en la que vas a poder ver en acción a Angelic Mandarin tras el estudio de sus características básicas. Esta será una batalla que me enfrenta a un mazo de tierra con una limitación de 26 puntos de maná de invocación. Además, como condiciones de batalla van a estar presentes, y habrá que tener muy en cuenta, High Five, Fire & Regret y, por último, Going the Distance. La última limitación son los mazos disponibles que van a ser todos salvo fuego y muerte. Con esto explicado y tenido en cuenta, vamos a ver el desarrollo del combate.

This time, unlike previous weeks, you haven't been able to see the card analyzed on both sides. The fact that each player uses a different deck has made this impossible. In my case, I placed it at the end of the lineup to try to extend the healing power of the Triage special ability as much as possible. It's not a special ability that makes a decisive difference in combat. As you know, its effect is to recover one-third of the total health of the card in the second row that has suffered the most damage. Its handicap is that if the opponent is unable to attack my second row, Triage will never take effect. However, it is a very useful ability for prolonging the combat life of those second-row units that have suffered an attack that has damaged them and reduced their health. In addition, apart from the small amount of healing it can provide, it should not be forgotten that it also has a ranged attack and can provide a small amount of offensive power. And that, in close battles, can make a decisive difference between victory and defeat.

Esta vez no hemos tenido como la semanas anteriores y no has podido ver la carta analizada en ambos bandos. El hecho de utilizar cada jugador un mazo diferente ha hecho imposible esta coincidencia. En mi caso la he colocado en la última posición de la alineación para intentar alargar lo máximo posible el poder sanador de la habilidad especial Triage. No es una habilidad especial que marque una diferencia determinante en el combate. Ya sabes que su efecto es el de recuperar un tercio de la salud total de la carta en la segunda línea que haya sufrido mayor daño. Su hándicap es que si el rival no es capaz de atacar a mi segunda línea Triage no entrará nunca en efecto. Sin embargo, es una habilidad más que util para alargar la vida en combate de esas unidades de la segunda línea que si han sufrido algún ataque que les ha causado daño mermando su salud. Además, aparte de la pequeña sanación que puede aportar no hay que olvidar que también cuenta con ataque a distancia y puede aportar una pequeña cantidad de poder ofensivo. Y eso, en batalla igualadas si que puede marcar una diferencia que sea determinante entre la victoria o la derrota.
