Splinterlands - Gladius Case Opening, Received 1st Gold Gladius Card

I am a member of the Index Squad Splinterlands Guild. The eSports team for HE-Index.io As part of the guild, I actively participate in each of the brawls when they occur. Due to this, I earn merits.

Our guild is working on leveling up our buildings. The barracks will need to be at level 2 before we can start using our Gladius cards in lineups. I have collect 25 Gladius cards so far and hope to get lots more.

This time I received my first Gold Gladius card - The Witch of Warwick. It appears to be a very strong card and I look forward to playing it.

Gladius Case Opening

After our guild completed this last Brawl, I was awarded enough Merits to push my to merit total over 2000 so I could purchase another Gladius case.

I have participated in our guild brawls to earn enough merits for a fifth Gladius Case. I always love opening packs to discover what cards are revealed. If I could, I would just open packs all day but then it would probably not be as fun.

Similar to Chaos Legion Packs, you receive 5 cards with 1 guaranteed rare or better. Our Guild Store is at level 2 so packs are available for purchase. I think not knowing if you will get cards better than the guaranteed cards is what makes it the most fun.

To my surprise, one of the cards did that extra change when opening and revealed a gold card.

Even though I can not currently play the gold card, the collection power is added to my deck so I can make use of the extra 500 collection power from the gold card. I am currently renting out my duplicate cards in my deck so this will provide a little extra DEC from rental income.
