Splinterlands - My First Gladius Pack Opening

Gladius Pack Opening

Today the Guild store was upgraded to level 2 which made Gladius packs available for purchase using the Merits earned from participating in the Guild Brawls. The packs are 2,000 merits each and I was able to get 1 pack.

I was debating if I should open the pack or not. After listening to @jonnycoin stream on Twitch aka @jongolson talk about getting a Gladius card worth 2000 collection power when he opened his Gladius pack. I knew I had to open mine because I need the extra collection power. The Gladius cards can not be sold but they do add to your collection power for Leagues and also for the SPS airdrop which is very beneficial.

Since I rent cards to get into the Silver League, I knew any of the cards would help offset my season rental fees. Similar to the Chaos Packs, you are guaranteed at least one Rare or better in the pack of 5 cards.

Wow, was I surprised when I opened my pack. No, I did not get a legendary but I did get 2 Epics and 1 Rare of the 5 cards in the pack.

BloodLust Ability

The Bloodlust ability is an ability specifically for the Guild Brawls. I look forward to playing these cards which all have this ability.

Each time the monster with this ability defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats. This is major. The stats on Gorth start at 5 Melee, 2 Speed and 12 Health. Add +1 to it's stats and you have a beast to reckon with.

Three of the cards are in the Life Splinter. I can not wait to try them out in my next Guild Brawls to determine the best combinations.

Great draw of cards. I only pulled on rare in my card pack. I like my Katrelba Gobson which is a sneak 2 melee with double attack.

Nice, I will be doing a post about this in a little while. I'm looking forward to being able to test out these new cards. The brawl needs to hurry up lol

I opened it last night, I did get a legendary and an epic, I posted a pic of it in the team discord after I opened it.
