Splinterlands - Ethereum NFT Called Runi Playable in Hive Game

Splinterlands launched a project which uses Ethereum to create NFTs and then allows that NFT to be played in Splinterlands which is based on the Hive Platform. This project is called Runi.

Battle Mages like you now have the opportunity to craft a Runi of their own. Junkers have been sent out to collect the necessary components. Rune Crafters and Technomancers are preparing the assembly areas. What kind of Runi will you create?

Minting is complete

Minting of new Runi NFTs is complete and can no longer be done. 3521 NFTs were minted out of the 6500 available.

Runi Purchased

I was able to purchase a Runi that I think is very unique looking. Just a side note, every single Runi is unique. Some of the items my be the same but there are no two Runis that look like each other. There is always something different on each one of them.

Getting Runi in Splinterlands

Once you get a Runi, you will need to get it into the Splinterlands game. This is where my trouble started. The Splinerlands page to manage your Runi states to "Connect Your Ethereum Wallet"

I tried and tried to connect my wallet. I would get this message each time no matter what I tried. "You must have a web3 wallet installed and unlocked to connect."

I finally gave up and started thinking about putting it on the market and selling it since I would never be able to use it to play in the Splinterlands game.

Extensions

Several weeks after getting my Runi and always failing to get my wallet connected to Splinterlands, I was working in my Coinbase Wallet and learned there was an extension that could be downloaded and added to most web browsers that would allow Coinbase Wallet to be used on the web with other applications.

I downloaded the Coinbase Wallet extension to my Chrome browser and tried to collect my wallet to Splinterlands again. This time it worked like a charm without one issue. I just wish there would have been a mention about this on the Splinterlands website or in any article that I had read about the Runi Collection.

I guess live and learn.

Splinterlands Runi

Here is what my Runi looks within the Splinterlands game. The good part is that no one will have one that looks like mine.

Wow, look at those stats. It is a maxed Legendary Neutral card with 4 Melee attack, 5 Health, 1 Armor with a Speed of 1. But that is not all. Look at the abilities this card has - Opportunity, Rebirth, True Strike and Reflection Shield.

I can not wait to really learn about the best way to play this card in my lineups. Being a neutral card, just think of the possibilities.
