In this challenge I faced @mobik in the silver league, the maximum mana of the battle was 33, in the battle there were 2 conditions: Counterspell and Heavy Hitters, the first condition generates that magic attacks are returned, while Heavy Hitters, produces more damage on monsters that have already taken damage or are stunned. In this battle using magic cards would be counterproductive, even so I took the risk and used magic cards, in addition to using a common strategy, that is, I ignored a little the conditions present and based my strategy on the magic attack.

Strategy.

The summoner I used was Alric Stormbringer at level #2, as this would allow me to increase the magic attack of the team, in the first position I used Sea Monster at level #4, as it can attack and heal itself, then I used a filler card as Hardy Stonefish.

In the third position I placed Djinn Oshannus, this would be important, as it has the ability to reduce the damage to magical attacks, then I used a card with healing, namely Merdaali Guardian at level #2 gold version, in the fifth position I placed Phantom of The Abyss, and finally I used: Torrent Fiend as a decoy to prevent Phantom of The Abyss from getting some attacks.

While my opponent used: Tarsa, Antoid Platoon, Disintegrator, Tenyii Striker, Uraeus, Lava Launcher and Scorch Fiend.

  • In the first rounds the weaker cards or with less life were destroyed, like Antoid Platoon on my opponent's side of the field and my strategy to protect the last cards worked, as the decoy was destroyed, i.e. Torrent Fiend.

  • The second round, Disintegrator and Sea Monster came out of the battle. The next rounds (3,4) Hardy Stonefish and Tenyii Striker were destroyed, and Phantom of The Abyss was able to finish off Uraeus, but Phantom of The Abyss was also affected by the battle condition.

  • In the last rounds there were only 2 monsters left on each side, but thanks to the good work of Djinn Oshannus and Merdaali Guardian, I could destroy Lava Launcher and Scorch Fiend, so I got the victory.

Conclusion.

Certainly the strategy of the battle was risky, since the magic attacks were affected by one of the conditions, even so I think it is possible to use these cards, when the Heavy Hitters condition is present, despite facing strong cards I could get the victory. Heavy Hitters can certainly be used in our favour or against us, but I usually create attack strategies to destroy the opponent in a fast and timely manner. As I did with magic and healing, which gave good results.
