In this battle I faced @domredgrape25, the mana of the battle was 35, in this challenge the condition was Briar Patch, this is to get thorns in each of our cards, for this type of battles it is possible to use various strategies, but this time I will describe my favorite strategy.

I consider ideal to use ranged or magic attack cards, because when attacking they will not receive the damage of the thorns, and when using melee attack cards you have to place a healing card in this way we will replace the damage of the thorns; it is also possible to take advantage by using shields in this way we avoid momentarily the wear of the monster's life.

Battle strategy.

In this case I used a team of the water element, the summoner was Possibilus The Wise, while in battle I used: Sea Monster, Phantom of The Abyss, Merdaali Guardian and Djinn Oshannus.

First I used Sea Monster (He has the ability to heal himself), so he could recharge from the damage of the thorns, besides that I combined him with Merdaali Guardian in the third position, so I could try to make Sea Monter stay longer in the battle.

In the second and fourth position I used Phantom of The Abyss and Djinn Oshannus, these cards having magic attack, will not be affected by the condition of this battle, that is to say, their life will not receive damage every time they attack.

While my opponent used a fire team: Tarsa, Radiated Scorcher, Ferox Defender, Lava Launcher, Uraeus, Tenyyi Striker, Djinn Apprentice, honestly I thought his strategy was good and the battle was pretty close.

  • Now let's see the battle, in the first round I was able to destroy Radiated Scorcher, while the other monsters only received attrition.

  • Later, my opponent lost Ferox Defender and on my side of the field I lost Djinn Oshannus, which was quite worrying.

  • In the third round I lost two cards, Sea Monter and Merdaali Guardian, leaving me with only one monster on the battlefield.

  • The battle went on until the eighth round, my opponent had four cards, specifically: Lava Launcher, Uraeus, Tenyyi Striker and Djinn Apprentice, while Phantom of The Abyss was the only one on my team.

  • Phantom of The Abyss managed to dodge the opponents and was able to destroy all of the opposing team, but in the end the battle was defined, between two magic cards, i.e. Phantom of The Abyss vs Djinn Apprentice, the powerful attack of this magic card was able to impose and get the victory.

Conclusion.

Normally I usually have good performance in battles that have the Briar Patch condition, but this time the battle was tight, even so I managed to get the victory, one of the key pieces to get the victory, was the magical attack of my cards, and mainly Phantom of The Abyss, because thanks to its speed could also dodge several attacks, but in the end this battle was decided by magical attacks.
