BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge! / Equalizer.

This time I faced @BRANDNAVAR4807 in the silver league, the maximum mana of the battle was 17, and the condition of the battle was Equalizer; it consists of balancing the life of all the cards, in many occasions the cards with low life, usually increase up to 10 times more life, which can be beneficial, as long as the strategy is appropriate. I was sure that this would be a complicated battle and every detail would be very important, I had two options, the first would be to use low mana cards and the second to use cards with healing, to try to keep them in the battle and not be affected by the attacks.

So I used Sea Monster, this could heal itself, in the second position I used Torrent Fiend, then Merdaali, since this way I would complement the healing of the team, finally I placed a card with the ability to attack from a distance, that is, I used Pelacor Bandit, and the summoner was Bortus, since I thought that the opponent would use magic cards.

But I didn't expect my opponent to use a team similar to mine, i.e. the use Sea Monster, Merdaali and Ice Pixie, plus summoner Keyla Frendul.

  • The battle started with 9 life for each card, but it was very repetitive in the first rounds, all the attacks were directed to the monster of the first position, that is Sea Monster, but the key piece of the team was Pelacor Bandit, as it attacked the cards of the last position, therefore this would be responsible for wearing and destroy the cards of the last position, the first to go out was Ice Pixie in round 10.
  • Later Merdaali Guardian was destroyed in round 20, as I mentioned, it was a repetitive battle and this was the method to get the victory, and in round 22, I got the advantage and the battle was decided by Fatigue, that way I managed to keep all my cards alive.

Conclusion.

As I mentioned my strategy was based on using cards with the ability to heal, but my opponent used a similar strategy, for this reason the battle was even, but it was useful to use Pelacor Bandit, as it could gradually finish the opponents, in short, my strategy and cards met the goal.

Whenever the Equalizer condition is present, it is important to analyze the mana limit, because with a low mana limit, you can try to use cards with low mana consumption and using all the positions of the field can be a great option, but there are other factors that come into play, so it is necessary to know which abilities can give a better performance. On the other hand, when the mana limit is high, it is better, as we can create better strategies.
