Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge! / Close range.
This time I will explain my strategy for the battles with the Close range condition. This condition means that the ranged attack cards can attack from the first position. In this battle, the Up to Eleven condition was also active; this last one allows the cards to obtain the amplify ability. During this battle, it is necessary to take into account the amount of mana and elements available.
The maximum limit was 26 mana. There are several very versatile cards that we can use when we are under this condition, but the available elements were death and dragon, so the allowed cards were more limited, and it was not convenient to use them. For this battle, I analyzed the cards that the opponent could use and placed a team with direct attack and magic cards, as I believe that would allow me to get advantages over the opponent.
The summoner of this battle was Thaddius Brood, in the first position, I placed Cursed Windeku. This card is very useful to attack and also to receive attacks that can wear down his opponent. In the second position, I used Wily Coyotian, this card will be a shield to prevent damage to my main cards. In the third position, I also used a filler card, such as Furious Chicken.
The following cards would be key for me: Venari Bonesmith could attack and at the same time increase his own life, while Usut would be the card that could cause more damage with his magic attacks, since every time he destroys a card, he increases his attack power. In this way, it would be possible to cause damage or attrition to the opponent.
While my opponent uses: Astral Entity, Pelacor Deceiver, Uraeus, Silent Sha-Vi, Lira The Dark.

- In the first round, my opponent destroyed Furious Chicken. Later, I destroyed the Pelacor Deceiver. But the power of my opponent's summoner made Pelacor Deceiver resurrect, but the advantage was that by destroying Pelacor Deceiver, it also increased the power of Usut.
- The use of Cursed Windeku was also a suitable option, since Pelacor Deceiver and other cards generated direct attacks, which activated the ability of Cursed Windeku. Because of this, Cursed Windeku was destroyed in the second round; later, Uraeus and Silent Sha-Vi were also destroyed.
- In the last round, there was only Lira The Dark on my opponent's side of the field, so it was easy to destroy the last card, since I had only lost one card and the others on my side of the field were alive.
Conclusion.
As I mentioned, in battles under the Close Range condition, it is quite beneficial to use the advantages offered by this condition, such as ranged attack cards, but in this case I made an exception, since there was a low amount of mana available and two elements available, so the most appropriate thing was to use cards of different characteristics and as many cards as possible, that is, direct attack and magic cards. This gave me a wider range of cards and a more diverse strategy.
