Illustration of Fire Spitter. Splinterlands Weekly Art Contest.

(Edited)

Just as I said previously, I'm sharing an illustration. This is an illustration of a card that I found in splinterlands while playing the game. I visited the art contest post of splinterlands and also saw the previous posts of them. I found out that people are drawing these cards in a new way. Although, some people were drawing them exactly as they are. But, drawing them in a new way with my own imagination power seemed to be the proper way for me. And this is what I've done.

For making this illustration I used the Adobe Illustrator 2018 and the Artboard tool in it. I used to do these drawings using the pen tool but I now find using the artboard tool much easier. I created this fan-art drawing by following the card named THE FIRE SPITTER.

Here's what I've created.

The Original Image

I'll now share the steps/process of my work. And before I do that, I got the wings from the original image. They are so detailed and it's really out of my league to draw them perfectly. I attempted to draw them several times in the last 2 days. But, every single time was a failure. Then I used photoshop. I clipped the front wing of the original image and then added it to my illustration by modifying it. I hope that won't be a problem. I did everything needed to make my work look better. Here are my steps:-

Now it's time to give it some colors.

After that I added the wings.

The steps of drawing the structure are quite a lot. And that's why I made a gif file including all those steps.

I'm completely new to this platform as it is my third post. More than that this is the first time I'm submitting my post to enter any kind of contest. Before that, I never tried to compete against other people with my drawing/illustration. Please let me know if by any chance I made any mistakes. I'll try my best to learn from those suggestions.

And I'd like to thank two things. One is the splinterlands game. Because this was the source of how I got to know about this platform. And then Ecency. This site had made my browsing experience far better including using the shortcuts here, now I can design my writings. I'm also amazed to see how many people are commenting and voting on my posts. I'm looking forward to getting connected to them all and also getting to know more people and sites. I actually follow other contestants' posts to create my posts. Mostly about choosing the tags and decorating my writing. If there are any better options for this please let me know. I want to do better than I'm now.

Thanks for sharing! - Legalizabrazil#3575

It's nice that you draw in a original position, as an artist i know that is a hard task. But if you want to run for the artwork challenge
remember to post only on artwork challenge post and not on the social media challenge.

Nice job dude. Honestly, after seeing your last drawing I didn't expect something like this. You really have some gift of creativeness. And I think you should draw using illustrator or whatever you did to make this one. Drawing on a tab and using that app is not your thing I guess. And always, keep up the good work. A tip for your creative work:-
