D.Buzz - Challenges - Rewards - Initiatives and More
Welcome to Tuesday!
We hope your holiday season is off to a great start, and that you are getting ready for Christmas, which is just around the bend.
Today we wanted to take a moment, and update you about the many giveaways, contests, initiatives and more that we are currently supporting or running. Also, about the other programs we are actively growing to help promote D.Buzz around the web.
Let's Talk Contests!
The Monday Challenge.
If you're not aware, every Monday we host a challenge. It can be as simple as responding to a question, or more complex, such as downloading an image and decorating it, then posting it on D.Buzz with a selected hashtag. The prizes do vary, but by and large, we will send a liquid $HIVE reward to the randomly selected winners of these Monday challenges. Currently, the reward is 10 HIVE tokens! With today's HIVE price of $1.490, a $14.90 prize pool is pretty sweet if you ask us!
This program we have been running since, just about the start of the D.Buzz project, and is currently in its 77th week! We do not intend to stop this anytime soon, so mark your calendars, and stop by our page every Monday!
Curated Authors Roundup Posts
Currently, we have two guest authors who do a roundup post from around the HIVE. While we do provide guidelines for these authors, by and large, they are free to select the content that they feel is groovy.
They then create a unique roundup post, along with a summary of the different articles that they find enjoyable. After the article is live, the @dbuzz account stops by and drops a vote on that post!
It's our intent that this program will spread content more throughout Hive, and help authors get a little more exposure. So far, we are seeing great success with it.
On The Spot Rewards Program
Another one of our programs that has been going for over a year now, is our on - the spot rewards program.
In this particular program, one of our curators spends time reviewing the many buzzes on D.Buzz. Every week they select 10 authors who they find or believe are posting quality content. As a reward for being cool, we send 1 $HIVE to that author for being awesome.
This particular program is currently on week 60!
Splinterlands Chaos Legion Pack Give Away
We will let the cat out of the bag on this one. Every day until Christmas, we will be giving away one booster pack from the Chaos Legion expansion. These booster packs are given out on our Twitter account and on our D.Buzz account.
We are currently on day number nine on this giveaway.
So far with this new initiative, we are seeing some fantastic growth in our daily active user count. We will have to see if this trend remains after Christmas. However, for the time being, this is bringing some new bees to the Hive!
D.Buzz Axie Infinity Scholarship Program.
As we reach out to bridge the gap between different crypto ecosystems, Axie Infinity is a great place to start. This crypto game has had explosive growth, and we believe by hosting a scholarship program for new players, we could start to bring more of that Axie player base over to D.Buzz and hive!
We are still looking for the scholars who wish to join, and you can read all about it at the post located right here.
We expect to see this program really kicking off in the new year.
The Buzzies Awards Year 2
While not directly a D.Buzz program and contest, we want to give a shout-out to one of our awesome community members, @crrdlx. They have taken a really strong initiative here.
They put together an awards program to celebrate the best buzzes on D.Buzz. This is year 2 of the Buzzies award program, and we love it.
We are still thinking about the best way to reward the winner of this particular community-driven event. We encourage you to nominate some people you think have the best buzzes for 2021, and perhaps you, and they could win a prize. :D

2022 and Forward
As we move into the new year, we want to keep finding more ways to connect with the community, and use the D.Buzz platform, to help further grow content creators, and the awareness of the HIVE blockchain.
