dCrops burns 15 Million DEC from the Olive Tree Sale!
We are excited to announce a huge milestone in our journey within the Hive ecosystem. Following the successful sale of the Olive Tree NFT on our game, dCrops, we have achieved a landmark event by burning a total of 15,125,000 DEC. Out of the total 1000 NFTs for sale, 605 of them were sold. These NFTs will not be printed in the game ever again.
This collaboration signifies our commitment towards collaboration and for the benefit of Splinterlands and thus, the entire Hive ecosystem. We strongly believe that the Hive platform thrives due to the diversity and vibrance of its dApps. Thus we believe it is extremely important for dApps to support each other.
Instead of keeping the funds from the sale to ourselves, we decided to burn it to show the @splinterlands community that we are serious about out about our commitment to transparency, value creation, and building a collaborative ecosystem.
Moreover, we are giving 5041 dCrops BETA Edition packs(worth $15,123) to the @sps.dao as a gift. We ask the DAO to hold on to the packs for atleast a year. After this period the DAO can decide to do what it wants with the packs. We are hoping that the packs will be used in a meaningful way instead of just being dumped on the market.
Imagining a more collaborative future
Looking forward, we are excited about more collaborations in the future within the Hive ecosystem. We are keen to explore new partnerships and joint projects that can bring value to our players and the broader Hive community. We invite other Hive dApps and projects to join us in this journey towards creating a more interconnected, innovative, and vibrant blockchain ecosystem.
