Aug. 21, 20: AutomaticWin, Xbox, Math, and Games

Well, hmmm 🤔 another day without a whole lot to show for it...it is what it is, I suppose. I got up just shortly before six and so close to a full night that I’m going to count it as good. 😄

On to the morning routine...not too much kickin’, Bitcoin continuing to pull back, seriously considering taking some profit right now, but between the damn exchange fees and the tax liability it incurrs, I need significant swings to be able to clear any actual gain.

It’s this sort of thinking that has kept me out of the market and HODLing for nearly a year now! Need to stop being so afraid and pull the trigger at some point!

Got another BLURT powerdown and moved it over to Ionomy. They’re still down hard, so I might sit tight for a little bit...with BTC on a pullback, the ratio might have a chance to rise slightly, we’ll see.

It seems that I have been censored on Bilpcoin and my posts are no longer visible on their front end. So much for being a tribe “open to everyone.” Ah, well, easy enough to unstake and dump, which is exactly what I plan to do...funny enough, they’re blocking quite a few users and their token is falling like a rock with thousands being sold and only one bought in the last day. 😂 I guess you get what you ask for.

Anyway, I won’t be using the tag anymore and I suggest that you don’t either.

Felt bad that we didn’t take the doggy for a walk yesterday, so we took him for a good run around the fields today and scored another #AutomaticWin! 💪

Another cool morning, but not as bad as yesterday. In the sun, walking, it was plenty warm enough. ☀️

Up and out with the sunrise today. ☺️ Thankful that I have the opportunity and ability to get outside and enjoy.

We were pretty focused on getting our steps in, so we didn’t spend as much time staring at plants looking for bugs. 😜

We did see that swarm of boxelder bugs in the same crack that we saw them the other day, but already got a shot of them.

There was one beetle bug that I got running across the pavement. I nearly stepped on him!

Dude was pretty well behaved for the most part today. He stayed close and listened up to the point that we were leaving the field...then he decided to run over to the other side, stop, look at us as we yell for him, and stand there as if he couldn’t hear us! 😡

There were several other people around with dogs as well, so we had to put him back on the leash.

Poor guy got nailed a couple times by some hornets. 🤕 He had a mean one stinging him on his ear and he wouldn’t come for us to help him get it off, but he got it off eventually. Didn’t notice any allergic reaction, but he was licking a couple spots on his legs as well during the day. 😥

Afterward I got my post done, did a few chores, tended to the garden for a bit, and did some work on my math.

While there are some incredible symmetries arising, the image is already starting to become fairly cluttered. 😢 There are definitely behaviors that I don’t understand and couldn’t predict. I have a handle on some, like how the element affects various multiples of primes in the product, but the others are still opaque to me.

Played some Xbox for a while. There haven’t been any new games to download recently, so I’ve been digging back through my library to find games I haven’t played or didn’t finish for some reason.

Several of them I’ve fired back up, played for like half an hour, and remembered why I rage quit playing. Today it’s one of the Splinter Cell series. I’m somewhere in the middle of the game and after playing the same section over and over for several hours, I only advanced one checkpoint. 😡

It was repeatedly failing at one section that made me quit, but I was trying to be persistent and break past it. Not really sure if it’s worth it, rage quit again.

I felt like I needed a nap (not sure why), and I laid down but ended up watching a docuseries on the history of video games...nostalgia time!

Wenche was working later again, so I made myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for dinner, played some Splinterlands (swearing most of the way), and then fell asleep watching Lucifer again. Good show, although I’d like a little more Devil stuff and a little less drama.

No crime in my dCity today! 🤩🥳 While I have spent some HIVE on getting my city up and running, it hasn’t been too much (certainly didn’t break the bank) and I’m now starting to get to a point that it’s self-sustaining at a rate I’m fairly happy with; that is, provided the taxes aren’t crazy! Not really got any plans for the BEER or WEED other than staking them up, but maybe some day...

I was able to complete all my Holybread tasks today. A bit of a struggle again, but at least I got it this time. 😃 Still going to take me several months to be able to afford a legendary hero, but it will be sweet when it finally happens.

Still keeping it strong in the top ten! To be honest, I’m quite surprised that I’ve been able to defend my position for as long as I have. That epic item weekend a while back really made a huge difference!

My Splinterlands quest for today was Earth splinter. Not exactly sure why, but today was a rough one! I basically traded one win for one loss and then got on a couple losing streaks, so I ended up almost exactly where I started. 😡
