Aug. 22, 20: Walking, Xbox, Math, TV, and Games

Got up around the usual time this morning, but got a whopping eight hours and forty-five minutes sleep! Woohooo! I’ve had some catching up to do, I guess.

Once again, not too much going on during the morning routine. Almost pulled the trigger on BTC...had the sale all typed in and all I had to do was hit the button, but I still didn’t. Can’t make any profit if I don’t trade (but can’t lose any either...).

Wenche signed up for an extra shift today, so I took advantage of the opportunity to play a little Xbox. I beat Splinter Cell and then realized that I had already played it through and was trying to do it on the hardest difficulty. I realized it when I popped the 50G; glad I didn’t set the difficulty back down as I had considered doing.

Not early enough today for a #AutomaticWin, but we did head out in the blazing sun anyway.

I busted over a thousand kilometers on my current pair of shoes! I’d say that’s a worthy milestone. 😃

No Mr. Chubbles today, but this little guy was watching out while he munched in some breakfast.

We headed back on the nature trail and did a swing down by the pond.

We saw several turtles 🐢 today! 😄

Could even see enough of the shell to tell that it was a painted box turtle. 👍

These plants are just utterly fascinating. They were bright pink and purple before and now they’ve turned like a yellowish orange!

I think this is a Swallowtail butterfly. Unfortunately, that was the best shot I got, just didn’t want to focus properly.

I’ve gotten pictures of this type of caterpillar before, but man, they crazy stand out! You seriously can’t miss them...seems like a weird strategy.

Starting to see some more of these yellow beetles too:

The cornses are looking really sad right now, though. They need some water big time!

Pretty much just relaxed for the rest of the day. I did do a little bit more work on my math, but only drew in a couple more lines, not really that much.

Spent a bit of time over at Crimsonclad’s show on Discord for a while, had some eggs and bacon for dinner, played some Splinterlands quest, and then watched some more Lucifer getting caught up for the new season that was just released.

I did get all my Holybread tasks done, but when I was going through and cleaning up photos for today’s post, I accidentally deleted my pics. 😡 I guess you’ll just have to take my word for it.

Been seriously getting slaughtered in the arena, but still holding top twenty. 💪

My quest for Splinterlands today was three wins without neutral. I started off with a couple losses, but got it done in relatively short order and at least made a little progress in the rankings.

I got the quest done still stuck in Champion III with a potion...seriously questioning whether these quest potions are worth 720 DEC per day when they result in nothing but bullshit. Another day of worthless potions and DEC slaps in the face:
