Feb. 17, 23: Routine, More CryptoShots, Quest, Chores, TV, and Games

I was pretty surprised, actually, but I made it through the entire night in bed tonight! 🤯 Now, that's not to say that I slept through or anything. The cat had us up a couple times howling for whatever and with getting to bed way late last night (like friggin' quarter to eleven 😯) and getting up at six, I ended a solid hour short on sleep. 😢

Did get a relatively early start (and not so time crunched) on the morning routine, which was nice, and so I was able to get a deeper dive into token shifting and stuff with Solairitas' wallet as well as my own. Otherwise, mostly did a bit of curation, got stuff together for my post, and checked on the crypto markets. Got a bit of a pullback, but look at MATIC go!!!!

At least momentarily my patience has proven to have paid off and I'm currently only losing .17 ETH. That's definitely the best it's been since I got involved. Just hoping to hit the 2 ETH mark so I can say I didn't lose anything other than time...then watch me say "but then I need to make up for all the interest lost over that time, still can't pull out." Friggin' married to my bags. 😛

Worked on my post for the day and got a fairly decent one done and published and shared at the usual time and then went over to Discord to play...

Spent quite a bit of time messing around with the Karina bot over in Pimp server. Honestly, it seems pretty busted and is kind of frustrating...half the time it doesn't answer and then when it does it answers like two questions back. 🤔🥴

When it does work, though, it's neat to play with and I won a few tips, which was cool. 🤑 In order to qualify for some of the tips, you had to register a WAX account and in doing that I got more involved with that side of CryptoShots. Even went in and swapped some HIVE for WAX and bought some more NFTs.

I have a bunch of the Hive NFTs from Pizza giveaways, which got me involved with it in the first place, but only actually played the game once (was ok, but I was still kind of confused by it) and was really lost with all the different tokens and being on two different chains DOOM and BOOM and igMARS and it seemed pretty endless to me...so I didn't really get any further into it.

I'm still kind of only just figuring things out, but I have snagged some of the basic items off the market:

Another kind of cool thing I realized was that as I was making the purchases through the NeftyBlocks marketplace, I was earning NEFTY (even had some from before that I was unaware of). Kinda' started digging around investigating that and made an even awesomer discovery that you can stake the NEFTY for a share of the WAX from the market fees!!! 😀🤑 Umm, yes please!

As far as I understand the WAX side of things is at least useful for playing the Discord game, which is an opportunity to premine the PROX token (yes, yet another one). Started dinking around with it and have earned a few:

I was messing around with my WAX wallet quite a bit as a result of all that activity (super nice, actually, that by having Wombat Prime for staking WOMBAT I don't even have to pay any gas fees at all 🤑) and in the process I realized there was a relatively cheap way to create a new account.

EngineWitty had been having some troubles getting involved (they've since put up a paywall of $1.99 which makes getting started a pain in the arse) and so I made him one to get him started. 👍

After I got some lunch, I kinda' started to drag a bit, but I fought the urge to be idle and did some cleaning up in the kitchen and the bathroom. The bathroom sink was draining pretty slow, so I got that cleared out and then got a haircut and a shower.

Still had some of the afternoon left before Wenche was coming home, so I went into the Quest Store and hunted around and found a game demo that looked like fun: Arcaxer, like a turn-based RPG where the overworld is third person overhead style but the battles are first person; pretty neat idea.

The demo was for a free twenty-five minutes and, when it booted me after what seemed like just a couple minutes, I didn't hesitate to buy the game and jump back in. Still, only got about an hour or so of total gameplay before the battery barked and I had to quit. 😭

There was still a little time before Wenche was back from work, so I fired up the oven and started making us pizza for dinner. She was a bit late and I was basically already done when she walked in the door.

After dinner we did the usual; plopped in front of the tube and watched some more of Clarkson's Farm. It is quite a good show, definitely shows that farming is way more complicated and difficult than you'd normally think.

Worked on my WombPlay challenges after the reset (didn't get a good pull on the box today, so got a bit of an uphill battle for the thousand WomBucks), got ready for bed, and got another pretty late bedtime.

Splinterlands:
My Splinterlands rental income rose a bit today to a dollar fifty. I've been spending as fast as it comes in lately (today spent a bunch on CryptoShots and ASTRA), so it helps that it's a bit better than it was...still don't understand why it isn't closer to where it started (it's well less than half), but I guess it is what it is.

Did my usual SPS claim, paid the rental fee, and staked the rest. Today was the third day of staking, so time to start saving some up again to swap out.

Well, considering I only have eight minutes left to finish this post before Gartic, I can't see too much of a reason to spend time talking about this.

Yay! It's not quite the pop we had the other day (that I stupidly missed), but we've risen again anyway...think it was about 3.4 HIVE for my forty. MOAR is better.

Claimed up my stake, delegation, and airdrop rewards for today. Still no mining rewards, but what's new?

As of the writing of this post, the word on the land sale is still just "stay tuned." Meanwhile, I'm sitting and praying that the price of HBD goes back above a dollar before whenever it is that they decide to get their shit together.

While I did go into the market and bust yet another five HIVE on ASTRA to stake, I still apparently haven't forked over enough to qualify for any of the bonus NFTs or anything. 😡

Today began the second presale, this time a Wisp pack, but like I mentioned before, I'm a bit sour and haven't felt any urge to have to save up more funds to participate...maybe after they deliver on the first sale or even have a site to use.
