Mar. 13, 22: Routine, LPM Convention, Prepping for Teaching, TV, and Games

I actually got a solid night’s sleep for once tonight! 😁🥳 FitBit says I slept for nine hours, but that’s a lie because of Daylight Saving Time. Even so, knock off an hour and it’s still eight!!! 😃😄 Been ages since that happened!

Still not much interesting going on during the morning routine. Losing even more on Polygon, what’s new? Up to .8 ETH out the window now…the more time passes and the worse it gets, the more I resent Raymond. I know I’m a big boy and make my own decisions, but I don’t think I would have bothered with it if he hadn’t kept prattling on about it and how much money he was raking in…the fact that he pulled my USDC out a couple days later (and blamed me for being late to the party) is really what pisses me off about the whole situation. No use crying over spilled milk, I suppose, I listened to him and now I’m fucked; that’s the long and short of it.

Got my post pretty well done and scheduled [didn’t realize that it wouldn’t matter because of the time switch the goddamn brofund bot skipped me anyway - guess that means I can actually post at ten today] and then got ready for the Libertarian Party of Michigan State Convention.

I stayed for the morning session and voted for the delegates to the national convention, but between two hours for lunch and then speakers and my hand really bothering me, I decided to head home after we broke for lunch.

Speaking of my hand, that was really weird and concerning…all of a sudden my left ring ringer started to feel numb. I just ignored it figuring it would stop once I shifted, but it just kept getting worse. After about a half an hour, my whole finger started to turn purple.

There was a wicked painful knot in my left shoulder and pressure on it, messaging for a bit, finally got it to stop turning purple and I started to get feeling back. Really not sure what that was, whether a lactic acid knot was pressing on a vein or something or if there was some blockage, I don’t know. Scared me, though, to be honest…wondering if I was looking at the clot that would give me a stroke…

I felt a little bad for leaving early, so I spent some of the free time getting ready for teaching that starts back up tomorrow…Spring Break officially over and I did not accomplish anything on the website other than discovering how I can’t accomplish anything. 😡😭 Going to have to set that aside for now, though, it’s back to the grind.

We watched the new season of Legends of Tomorrow and Wenche made us chicken and rice and salad for dinner. That was more or less it for the day…oh, did spend some time over at Raven’s Birthday stream in Pizza Discord and won some LVL tokens and a bit of PIZZA from trivia. 🤑

Otherwise, played my Splinterlands for the day and watched TV until bedtime.

Power Outage actually made my dShitty income go up, which makes complete sense and is totally a realistic simulation of an actual city…I mean, most cities have riots and pandemics and bank robberies every day, and tax their citizens over one hundred percent even though that’s literally impossible, right?

Not too much going on with Rising Star today. My Ego has remained at zero, surprisingly, so I’ve just been pounding as many missions as I can remember to do and have the energy for.

Finally had my first harvest on HashKings! 🥳 I do have to admit, my first experience with this game has been quite rocky…the day reset didn’t happen today (which is why I couldn’t harvest when I should have) and the MOTA drop was delayed and was supposed to happen later, but I haven’t gotten any seeds. 😡😭

So first impressions: janky as hell. I’m still chalking it up to being in alpha, but honestly, people shouldn’t let others invest time and money without at least a basic functioning product. Even so, for now I’m sticking with it in the hope that being early will pay off later. They do seem to be building partnerships and stuff, so I still like it.

Not sure that waiting a week for 447 BUDS was really worth it, but a start is a start.

To be honest, I was quite apprehensive about playing Splinterlands today. Figured we’re coming right up on the end of the season and I was due up for a solid losing streak (since I’d been doing well the last couple days), but I did alright! 💪 Now we’re really down to the wire and I’m sooo close to Diamond I…have to decide whether it’s worth the risk to play or wait it out (and probably miss a day’s quest). 🤔

I did have one more battle, which was a win, but it wasn’t worth the hassle of another photo.

Got my quest done in Diamond II and got pretty good DEC again. I guess they stopped the DEC inflation for some liquidity pools and shifted it to battle rewards, so hopefully playing will start to be a little more worthwhile.

Still no moves as far as my SPS drop, just staked, and was sad to see it drop by three or four SPS today. 😭 I’d thought with that nice chunk of DEC from yesterday that I would maintain, but I guess everyone else got more DEC as well, so in the end I lost out. 😡 Have to keep hoping that hanging on to all this SPS will be worth it in the long run…there’s value sitting there that I could just pull out, but choosing not to trying to delay gratification once again.

Speaking of delaying gratification, I didn’t make any moves with vouchers today either. They were down even harder than before…sucks because I have stuff I want to buy!
