Mar. 4, 22: Routine, Burn đ„, Oculus, Crashing, TV, and Games
Not sure whatâs going on, but I canât seem to pin down a solid night of sleep. Between getting to bed well after ten last night and getting up about quarter past four (with my mind racing), I was a good two and a half hours short and it hurt, totally caught up to me and I crashed hard in the afternoon.
I guess for as much as I was focused and motivated to work yesterday, today I was not. Well, thatâs not completely fair; like I said, I woke up thinking about Keychain and how the work that I had accomplished yesterday was basically useless. Luckily, cadawg was around and we spent quite a bit of time talking about it and he showed me what he did. So, I have an idea of what I need to do, but the implementation is a different storyâŠgoing to need to run the JavaScript (Hive code) on the backend it looks like, so have to have it run in NodeJS or something, which isnât available any more on HostGator for some reason. đą
Thatâs been another problem (going to need to have a script running listening to the chain for transactions all the time) that I donât know how to run a program on the remote server. I would like node xxxx.exe
in a command prompt on my machine, but I really donât know how with the setup I have.
So, issues on issues and no real clear pathâŠplus the 500 error that I still havenât figured out, plus spending the morning hours from when I got up realizing that Keychain didnât really do what I thought it did (not Keychainâs fault, browserâs fault) really burned my brain for the rest of the day.
Did the usual morning routine and not a lot to say there. Cryptos were down another five or so percent (just waiting until later to break even harder to the downside), and the news was mostly âRussia, RussiaâŠPutin bad, Ukraine good, war? Yes, please.â Amazing how Covid hardly even exists any more. đ€·
Not much else going on other than dinking around for a while over in Pizza đ. I did some token shifting on H-E (which takes a lot less time now due to bambukahâs tool) and bought some more THGaming to go harder into the pool. In doing that I noticed this fuckwittery:
Itâs really weirdâŠthat was obvious crap wash trading, but it doesnât seem to be listed on H-E and though the market would load on TribalDex, there wasnât any info or anything anywhere. Seems like itâs been delisted but the market is still there? I donât know. Not worth the time either way.
Got my post done pretty early and decided to reset the brofund bot so I donât have to wait so long past ten to post. There was a winterâs worth of cardboard piled up out in the garage and it wasnât too bad out, so I took it all out to the burn đ„ pile and whoosh! Itâs gone.
Got back in and wanted (ok âwantedâ) to work, but as I said, my brain was fried and there was no way it was going to happen. There was a new Beardo Benjo video about a game that released today: Vox Machinae that looked pretty good. Itâs a campaign, story driven mech battler and the graphics are quite good for the quest!
Played through the tutorial and a little bit into the game and started to get tired. The motion wasnât too bad, but it did start to get to me some. Quit out just in time for Trivia Night in Pizza Discord, but even the prospect of earning tokens wasnât strong enough to overcome my desire to do nothing but go to sleep.
I put something random on the TV and crashed out hard for about an hour. Woke up feeling absolutely crappy and hungry, so I ate some leftovers in the fridge and then had a bowl of cereal for dinner. I felt a little better, but not much, and honestly I didnât quite wake up fully he rest of the day.
As I mentioned, though, five percent wasnât enough for cryptos today and BTC broke down hard. đ Of course, alts followed suite, but at least Iâve gained back slightly against ETH over on PolygonâŠand I mean slightly, still losing three quarters of an ETH there. Seriously pissed me off thinking about it yesterdayâŠa year of hassle and stress and risk later, I would have had three quarters more of an ETH had I just done nothing and let it sit there. đ€Ź. Thanks, Ray.
Anyways, that was basically it for the day. We plopped in front of the tube and watched the last episode of Inbetweeners already. đą Wenche hunted around for something. I didnât really pay much attention, could barely focus on Splinterlands, but at least that wasnât aggravating and I went to bed pretty much immediately after I finished my quest.
Wow! Two days in a row now of double digit dShitty income! đČ Itâs still stated as zero, but I guess at this point I should probably assume thatâs just broken. Ah, well, not going to bother with fifteen words again today, going to count it as already having said too much.
Nothing major (or even interesting) happening with Rising Star today. Went in a couple times and switched between lessons and missions. For the moment it doesnât matter, though, since I got a bunch of drunk fans messing with my Ego, so just doing lessons for now (even though I know theyâre only temporary) since Iâd take an income penalty if I did missions right now and I might as well try to give myself a little buffer.
Played Splinterlands in the evening, as usual. What wasnât as usual, was how smoothly it actually went. I was on a win streak from yesterday and continued it today! Got really close to Gold I, and I even played a couple battles after I had my quest done to try and get it, but fell short.
I think it was Life splinter that I got for today, canât remember for sure, but it was something I didnât want to doâŠoh yeah! Snipe quest. Anyway, switched it and got three wins without neutral monsters instead.
Had a pretty nice win streak there and was really hoping to break Gold I before finishing today. I came pretty close, but it was not to be. Ok rewards, I guess. A tiny bit of DEC and a few commons for fodder:
Same story otherwise. Staked my SPS and watched the price of vouchers continue to crash. Iâm basically out of dry powder now and would like to re-up, but doesnât seem like the opportune time to do it at the moment.
