May 9, 22: Routine, DoubleDay, Teaching, TV, and Games

[Slept in again hardcore this morning, so got another late start on the morning routine - and, hence, this post. Running out of time before ten, even though that’s kind of an arbitrary, self-imposed deadline. Probably will need to go back and edit to finish properly, don’t think there’s going to be enough time.]

Made it all the way for eight thirty until six last night! Despite having a couple times of waking up, I ended with eight and a half hours! Woot!!! 🥳 I was really surprised, I normally don’t get hardly any sleep the night before the semester starts; I guess having stuff ready ahead of time helped.

That did make for a relatively late start on the morning routine, but got things mostly taken care of. Of course, the crypto markets were absolutely brutal and BTC broke below $30k. 😭😱 Saw nearly a twenty percent loss across all my assets today, not fun times. 😡😢😭

Today was the start of the summer semester and my classes are long and start early in the morning, nine o’clock, so I had to be getting ready and in the shower by seven and out the door by eight. Was a couple minutes later than I wanted to be, particularly since I needed to get gas ⛽️ and was worried about being in the middle of rush hour.

I did hit one backup, but it wasn’t an accident or anything, just traffic, so despite being slow, I did get past the bottleneck in not too much time and arrived about ten minutes early. The class is up on the third floor and it took me a minute to find where it was since I’ve never taught up there before.

Got everything set up and did the usual overview, syllabus, and calendar. I’d kind of expected about half of my class to be coming from Calc I last semester, but there were only like four or five, so despite having a rather ambitious agenda for the day, we ended up spending the entire class time reviewing Calc I rules and skills.

I accidentally went over by nearly ten minutes! 😱 Ran out to the car, had a ten minute lunch break, and then headed back in to rinse and repeat. Just by virtue of the time we had (and the apparent strength of the students’ knowledge) and to keep the two classes on pace with eachother so as not to make more work for myself, we did the same in the second class.

Huh, even though my Shopping Mall got robbed, I still ended up with double digit dShitty income (woah! predictive text actually offered me “dShitty” for the first time!!! 😂).

Went in on Rising Star in the morning and ran a lesson since my Ego was nonzero. That was it, though, now back to clicking the mission button once or twice a day. Woo!

Was way too busy to bother with firing up the computer to waste time with this, so still in the same spot, but now in danger of my plants dying. 😡

It was late, again damnit, before I got going with my Splinterlands quest. I figured after it had gone so smoothly the last couple days that I was in for a rough stretch, and sure enough. I got fed up with it and rage quit with the intention of playing this morning, but we all know how that goes.

I claimed my SPS drop and staked it up after I got home from work and was disappointed that it has fallen even further below a hundred. 🤬😭 Not sure if the system points has greatly increased or what, been trying my best to keep it steady.

Otherwise, there wasn’t much chance to do anything with the vouchers I have sitting on the market. I think one thing I haven’t been doing smartly is watching the fiat price…don’t really care about that as much as the price in HIVE, need to go in and look at the market properly rather than just checking in PeakD.

Holy moly! I don’t know what’s going on with all the red flags everywhere…I did skip out on Sunday’s walk, but I went on Saturday, plus there was all the Beat Saber? 🤷 Also surprised by the sleep, I honestly thought I was doing better.

I forgot my Wordles again today. 😭😭
