Fell asleep wicked early last night (and killed my ten k per day streak), then sleep nearly to seven. That put me more than an hour over a full night! Haven’t been dragging too bad, but I guess I needed it.

Did the usual morning routine and cryptos were looking hellsa bloody! China banned BTC yet again. There’s always a dippier dip, so mostly just trying not to worry too much about it.

Was pretty nasty outside this morning, was raining pretty hard, and while that generally doesn’t stop us too often, it was wicked cold to boot. Neither of us really felt like going out, so I just did some laps while I worked on my post. Still ended up well short of a #AutomaticWin, though. 😢

Yay! My application was accepted for the MARC Facebook group. 👍 Still don’t have my official National card yet, but waiting patiently.

Spent some time emptying the clean dishes from the dishwasher, doing the heavier stuff by hand that was in the sink and then really went after cleaning the sink. It was smelling pretty rank, so I did the draino treatment and scrubbed everything out. At least now it smells like chemical rather than death.

Spent most of the rest of the afternoon putzing out in the garage. Stripped down a little more wire and then mostly scraping at the inside of the Model A engine with some dental tools. I have a feeling that I need to take the valves and everything out anyway, so I’m probably just wasting time right now, but it’s looking a little better in there.

Discovered some old oil and/or gasket material stuck around the opening, so went after that with the tools and then some sandpaper. I am a little worried that by removing the gunk I’m exposing it to air and more potential to rust, but regardless that crud can’t be good.

Actually, I did have a slight ray of hope that the valve and distributor cam might not be as badly corroded as they appear, just a ton of caked on muck. We’ll see.

I’ve got all the bolts out of the oil pan, didn’t realize that it should be off…gasket seal has it stuck on there pretty good! The oil pump should be out as well, being held up by the bottom of the pan.

I think that’s next after I clear the cab out, take the pan off and get at the engine from the underside. Again, worried about exposing it, but got to clean it up and see if it will spin at all.

I’m hoping that the oil pump won’t be seized up in there, might give me access to at least part of that distributor cam shaft from the other direction. The part around the base of it is actually starting to look fairly decent. Took a wire brush to it after I got most of the stuff off with the dental tools and you might even say it’s shiny. 😁

Under the black wettish layer, there’s a dry, powdery, brown layer…thought that was rust corrosion, but not sure now, once I get it off the metal doesn’t look too bad.

Later we grabbed a shower 😋 and then Wenche made some bbq ribs and fried potatoes for dinner. Sadly, we ran out of MacGyver. Took a little while, five seasons, but we plowed through and now we have to find something else to watch again.

No way! Fifty-two is fifty-two. dShitty is broken. At least they already found a way to give me 350 less than they’re supposed to.

Finally got a brew going on CryptoBrewmaster today! Was just a regular lager again, nothing exciting, so a little over a hundred CBM I could withdraw now…whoopee.

Seems like I only went in once, maybe twice, on Rising Star. Getting pretty redundant, but I do have a bit of Starbits saved up now. Ego is growing back up out of control again, so probably lessons for a while.

Played some Splinterlands in the evening, as has become fairly usual.

More or less back and forth, with no progress made. 😡

I did get a bit of luck and had three wins without neutral monsters for my quest. It is tough not to throw that chicken on the back end, but I got it done eventually. Not quite as good rewards today, but building some of those new cards up:

Went into the market and grabbed a few more of the lions, they were relatively cheap people dumping off for the free DEC…hopefully be able to get them higher than previous ones.
