TPG Challenge: Create Cards for the Dominion Set (Part 2 of 3)

It's time for part 2 of the @thepeoplesguild #TPGChallenge! Here is the link to part 1 of this series for me.

I decided to showcase two of my favorite Dominion cards, Barkbound Juggernaut and Wrath of the Exiled.

Enjoy!

Barkbound Juggernaut

Once a peaceful guardian of ancient woodlands, the Barkbound Juggernaut now roams the war-torn lands of Splinterlands, a symbol of nature’s rage unleashed. Born from the oldest groves, this colossal treant was summoned during the first Rebellion to defend the forests from encroaching armies. Though it was defeated and left to rot, a forbidden spell cast by the druids of the dying woodlands reawakened it, binding its fury to the armor and debris of its last battle. Shattered villages lie in its path as it seeks revenge on any who dare disturb the forest's remnants.

The Barkbound Juggernaut's wooden frame is fused with rusted metal and ancient enchantments, remnants of countless battles fought and scars of battles lost. Moss and vines snake through its armor, slowly reclaiming it for nature even as the Ravager relentlessly marches forward. Legends say the Ravager’s glowing eyes were once the watchful gaze of the forest itself, now twisted with wrath. Any who encounter it hears the creak of ancient branches and the distant echo of its primordial fury, a warning of the unstoppable force that defends the natural world.

In battle, the Barkbound Juggernaut wields the earth as both shield and weapon, using roots to entangle foes and branches that strike with the power of a thunderous storm. The Rebellion sees it as a fearsome ally, an unstoppable juggernaut that will leave even the mightiest armies scattered like broken branches. Yet, there are whispers among the summoners that the Barkbound Juggernaut serves no master but the forest, and that when its vengeance is sated, it may turn its fury on anyone who dares to exploit the land.

Earth Ability: The World Tree

When this Unit dies it will heal all friendly units 75% health.

Wrath of the Exiled

Wrath of the Exiled was once a revered Seraph of Light, a being of boundless radiance and purity who guarded the heavens. His presence brought calm and clarity, his wings a symbol of peace that comforted those who believed. But pride and conviction led him astray. In a moment of desperate ambition, he disobeyed the Celestial Council’s command to refrain from intervening in the mortal world’s darkest conflicts. Driven by a need to cleanse what he saw as corruption, he descended from the celestial realm and unleashed his wrath upon the land. This unauthorized act, though born of good intentions, was seen as an unforgivable betrayal by his superiors.

The punishment was swift and merciless. Stripped of his divine status, he was cast from the heavens with his once-pristine wings shattered and broken, a visible scar of his exile. Now bound to the mortal plane, Wrath of the Exiled roams the realms of Splinterlands, an unpredictable force driven by a mix of anger and sorrow. Shadows seem to cling to him, his brilliant glow dimmed, but his fury is undiminished. In moments of deep anguish, he lets out a harrowing cry that chills even the bravest warriors, his tears mingling with the dust of a world that now only sees him as a fallen angel.

Within the Rebellion, the Life element hesitates to embrace him, fearing the uncontrollable wrath that he embodies. Yet, some warriors of light argue that he is a powerful weapon against the dark forces that threaten their domain. Those who dare summon him to battle whisper that his rage burns brightest against those who would corrupt the weak, but even his allies know that, as the Wrath of the Exiled, his loyalty is tenuous. For in every battle, his true enemy remains the heavens that condemned him.

Life Ability: SMITE

Each unit on the field gains the Smite ability as long as the Dominion unit is still alive. Attacks have a 25% chance to proc Smite, which does a bonus of 1-2 damage to the target at the time of the attack.
